Tineke Van den Eynde - Dark Cinderella (Shadow Dancer / Wall of Fame)
Tineke Van den Eynde (1985) wrote, together with an unknown Flemish author, the book Shadow Dancer (Dutch title: Schaduwdanser).
It tells the story of a woman with a “dark Cinderella syndrome.” She exaggerates — even fabricates — her victimhood to gain favor, admiration, or care by making those around her feel guilt and pity.
Shadow Dancer was adapted into a movie script by Johnjay Fitih, titled Wall of Fame. The story follows this woman, a covert narcissist, who gets a job as a journalist and makes well-known people emotionally vulnerable during interviews. She then publishes their stories with self-created twists and lies.
When they complain, she plays the victim of the publishing company, claiming she was forced to alter their stories. She then begs for a second chance to interview them, causing even more harm when they agree.
