Tuesday was the birthday of my dear friend and favorite Carmoon author, so I of course felt the need to give them a special gift đ.

If there was anyone who writes MidnightJester exactly as I see it, ITS SYZYGY. They bring these two to life perfectly. Itâs all Iâve wanted to say, just put into writing. Itâs honestly so beautifulđ. Everything about their storytelling and way of creating character dynamics has me in TEARSSSS. Youâve been such a good friend to me, Syzygy. I love love having the honor to ramble about these two and the show with you (+ the strongholdđȘŠ). Literally fangirling screaming kicking my feet with every new fic that drops đ.

i have been wanting to draw out mini comics from a few scenes of syzygyâs fics. so itâs on my list for hopefully some time in the futuređ so many ideas, so little time and energyđ«
can i be real for one second are we not all cultivating vastly intricate filtered content lists. is that just me. i see little to nothing that bothers me. i block anything that could potentially bother me. i am blocking niche tags from 3 fandoms ago for my own peace of mind. i have the name âbruceâ filtered
We've sort of solved the issue and at least turned it into a different issue that's less complicated.
We got enough donations to make a down payment on a different car. [THANK YOU. I don't want to name names so you don't get spammed with donation emails. But if anyone wants to draw or write for them; I can ask them/arrange contact privately.]
The problem is that they refused to finance a cheaper vehicle. So they'd only let us do payments if we got something newer then what we wanted.
So we get another 7 years of making car payments and the amount is more then we were paying before. ;_;
This is rough because we're still only breaking even because of some regular donors. Our mortgage takes almost exactly ALL my pay every month otherwise.
So if anyone wants to do reoccurring on Ko-fi, even if it's for small amounts; every little bit helps.
But this fandom is amazing and I'm so happy to write for you and hear from all of you.
Hopefully now that we have transportation to get to work again I can focus on my writing instead of worrying myself sick.
What will likely happen with the car that was [wrongfully!!] repossessed is that that bank will sell it to try and recoup the last of what we owed on it. Then they'll try to bill us for whatever is left-over on the balance. We may still get a lawyer to look at this once we get paid again and things calm down as well. We're both exhausted from this and the shit with her license being suspended and the gas pump that ate my debit card on Friday.
It's likely too late to stop the auction and it's clear they won't give us our car back. They have refused Cure; which is paying off the late payments [which we sent but were never received???] And no one would take the loan off their hands because the mileage on the car was far too high. [About 220 thousand].
We both took out small loans as well because we didn't have enough cash on hand. So that's two more bills. -_-
So if anyone wants to help; that's amazing. If you can't; it's okay. I'll never withhold anything either way.

This episode was SO GOOD! Very happy to be fed some more Dahlia lore- good food, very good. đ

RIGHT- SO.. Dahlia CLEARLY has made quite a name for himself. He has a reputation. The Heartless Commander. WHAT A TITLE. Itâs really telling of what he USED to be like back in the war. We already know that Dahlia was at the right hand of his superior in the war, along with Nightshade- heâs killed hundreds. Itâs unsurprising he has gained such a moniker. Veric (the individual Dahlia was interrogating) described Dahliaâs staff as historically deadly.. so that staff is reputable? His main weapon in the war, perhaps?
With things kicking off this episode, Dahlia might have some trouble come his way at some point. The Mockingbirds are most certainly aware of him if they weren't already. He is clearly a force to be reckoned with, which may discourage the rebels from going after him. However, it could also make it all the more important to take him out quickly, as he is a big threat to them.
It IS implied that we will come back to this again, with Dahlia putting tracking sigils on Veric and telling them how to let Dahlia know when they are ready to talk. I really hope we touch upon this again, as Dahliaâs past is still so shrouded in mystery, and Iâm curious as to who the leader of The Mockingbirds is.
Iâm going to assume that The Mockingbirdâs leader is not connected to Nightshade or Willow because, with the way Dahlia describes them, it sounds like he hasnât seen either of them in a very long time. I'm not saying it's an impossibility, but it wouldnât make sense for Nightshade to be the leader of this group. I feel like Dahlia would be far more reactive, or maybe even scared, if that were the case.
While I understand his intentions, it was kind of hypocritical of Dahlia to tell Sun they came here with the express purpose of gathering intel and maintaining cover, only to throw it all out the window in under 5 minutes. Looking at it from Dahliaâs POV, the stakes were high, the target was getting away, and they needed to act accordingly and quickly, which is understandable.
However, I feel like Dahlia shouldâve been more open with Sun from the start about what this âreconnaissanceâ mission was actually for. Though Sun may have objected or been concerned, I doubt he wouldâve had the same reaction if he had more knowledge of the matter initially.
You could TELL that Dahlia has some unfinished business with this guy- the instant SWITCH from his usual calm and composed tone to the sharp, âget back here, verminâ was PERFECT. It was really interesting to see such a different side of Dahlia that we have yet to witness. Yes, weâve seen him get a bit shouty during high-stress situations- but this, this was personal.
Also noticed Dahliaâs slight change in voice! I canât tell if he purposefully changed it or maybe it was a result of him raising his voice a little too much. As we know, Dahlia has previously stated that his throat has sustained damage and can break if he gets too loud. But still, a really nice detail if that's the case!
I think Sun is frustrated by the lack of transparency over the past few months. Firstly, there were thrown into the deep end by being tasked with tracking down a mentally unstable Servant Sun, then having the infection AU dropped on them (to which they knew HARDLY ANYTHING about going in) and now this? I can understand why Sun is a little upset.
Briefly touching upon this tidbit, there was already an implication of Dahlia being aware of Killer Sun. I mean, with his reputation, itâs hard not to have at least heard of the guy. I do think it would be interesting for those two to meet. Honestly, I wouldnât be surprised if Killer Sun also knew of Dahlia- the Heartless Commander. If Dahliaâs kill count is as high as he says it is, I think Killer Sun most definitely would be aware of him.

I was thinking about drawing something like this for a while, and the Discord event seemed like the perfect opportunity to manifest my ideas. Plus, getting to merge two of my fandoms was a lot of fun. đ
