“This—whatever this is—it's not something I usually allow to happen.” They paused, their gaze shifting away as if searching for the right words. Dark had never been great with emotions, not since… well, not since they were human. And that felt like a lifetime ago. Their aura flickered between blue and red, a constant struggle between two souls, each trying to resolve the conflict in its own way.

"There’s no order. I simply can't control the relentless spinning of the world!"

"It's alright. You have me, Dark."

The pink haired man smiles.

"I'm always here for you."

The blue aura around dark seemed to calm, slightly soothed by the man's words. But the red persisted, simmering just beneath the surface, the red flared, sharper, and more intense. "I can’t... I can’t let things go like this,” they gripped their own horns with frustration, "I need to be in control of things-!"

Will holds Dark. He has a worried expression on his face. He worries for his friend.

"H-hey there! It's alright!”

The blue aura dimmed, struggling weakly to maintain its calm, but it was the red spiraling out of control. She was never the calmest of the two souls, desperately trying to hold the fragile entity that was Dark right now together.

Dark felt Will’s arms wrap around them, pulling them into a tight embrace. The unexpected contact made their breath catch—they weren’t accustomed to being comforted like this.

"I’m- I'm not made for this… this weakness. I refuse to fall behind order.."

He plays with their hair, trying to soothe the dark entity.

“I should be strong enough to handle this. I-.." The red aura seemed more desperate than angry now.

Will's touch, though gentle, was beginning to chip away at his defenses. He didn’t know if he hated it or craved it. "every part of me is pulling in different directions. I’m not sure how long I can keep it together.”

"How can I help, dear friend?"

The pink haired man is getting really worried.

“I don’t know if you can help completely.. im far from being known fully by anybody.." Dark finally admitted, their voice rough with frustration and fatigue. They hated not having answers, hated not being in control. It was just a use of to much energy. Working to much as the so called villain.

"I’ve always been able to handle things—"

Dark finally let go of their horns trying to get the red aura to calmed.

The pink haired man lifts the dark aura's chin.

"I will do anything for you, you are my best friend...."

Dark just paused the aura pausing with them.

"You're far too kind to something like me..." Dark muttered, their voice low, tinged with shame. They weren’t used to this kind of devotion, this kind of care. Slowly, they felt the intensity of the red aura begin to fade, the flame not fully going out.

"I appreciate that, but I really want you to know that I'm here for you."

Will smiles.

Red had calmed down, she... had calmed down some. Dark could feel the sincerity, but letting it in was another matter entirely.

Dark’s gaze softened as Will’s words sank in. The blue aura pulsed softly around them, while the red still lingered, but calmer. Dark shifted slightly, not pulling away from Will, but not fully leaning in either, more adjusting.

"Tho I'm not the easiest to help, You still try.. something to not take granted for.." It wasn’t a full surrender, but it was as close to vulnerability as Dark had shown forever.

He cups Dark's cheek and looks into their eyes. He has a soft look to him.

"I'd never want to take somebody like you granted.. a flower in a doomed world." Dark felt his heart race, caught off guard by the sudden motion. the vulnerability of the moment overwhelming yet strangely comforting.

With a slow, hesitant breath, Dark leaned into the warmth of Will’s palm slightly.

Will brushes his thumb against Dark's cheek. He's unsure if what to do, but all he can think to do is comfort his friend.

It was mainly Blue now. Their posture relaxed slowly, “You’re offering so much, and I’m... I’m just not sure how to accept it or how well i can having you here... it’s... it’s different."

trying to find the right way to explain what They barely understood Themselves, “By letting you see me like this. By letting you in, even when I’m fighting every instinct to shut you out for your own Safety..“

"I'm just glad that you came to me."

Dark allowed themself to lean in fully, resting their head against Will’s shoulder. They were Tired??? Dark didn't need sleep they weren't human.

“I didn’t think I’d be able to, but im also glad i did....” Dark murmured, their voice quieter now.

"Just sleepy..."

Dark’s eyes fluttered open at Will’s words, a flicker of resistance returning. “No... that’s impossible,” they muttered. Even as they said it, they could feel the weight of exhaustion pressing down on them, “I don’t need sleep.. I'm not human..."

. “I’ve survived this long without it... ”

"Perhaps it's something that needs to happen at least once in a while?"

“Maybe... but…” Dark’s voice trailed off slightly the fight was slipping away, "What.. if something happens?" This felt to human for dark but it wasn't bad? Just werid. Maybe just because they weren't use to.

Dark's breathing gradually slowed, The worries that usually consumed him began to fade. The blue aura eventually took over around the sleeping dark.

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, Dark was fully at peace, this never happened and who knows when or if it'd ever happen again.

The swirling conflict of red and blue was gone, replaced by a serene stillness.
