Turns out a seething hatred of a social media platform is a perfect motivator to get you into doodling again.

I was already having a shitty day and then Tumblr decides to bring up the Chris Savino controversy again. That alone didn’t bother me, but the fact they were acting in their usual “fuck Nickelodeon” kind of way is what reopened some rage-filled wounds. Sure, burn a kids’ network’s animation studio to the ground just because of a few creeps and poor hiring policies. Who gives a fuck about the children still interested in their shows or the talented (and innocent!) artists still working there that’d likely go through hell trying to find another job? Let fuck them all over just because you CLEEEAAARLY know the right goddamn thing to do, you little shits.

*deep inhale*

Anyway, I decided to channel my rage through who’s arguably the Loud with the most anger issues. I also wanted to play with some pencil and crayon brushes in Clip Studio Paint. This is the resulting image: A visual representation of what I think of this one-track-minded hellsite. I might even make it my new icon for a while, if I feel like it…

I know what you’re bound to ask: “Why don’t you leave if you hate Tumblr so much?” The reason I haven’t is that, despite occasionally seeing posts like… well, the one that spawned this image, I live in a somewhat well-behave area of this place, surrounded by friends that are easy to communicate privately with through the messaging systems here. That’s the only thing keeping me from leaving. Friendship is thicker than rage… or something.

So… yeah, I’m starting to get out of that art slump I’ve been having, but knowing how quickly I fall back into slumps, I better start drawing something else soon. Maybe something related to Rise of the TMNT to vent even more rage… (toward more people bitching about Nick, not toward the show itself)
