media literacy would automatically go up 100% if people knew how to consume stories without self-inserting themselves into the characters' shoes. "if i were him..." you're NOT. you may relate to his story, his past, his traits, his quirks, his identity but the moment you start treating the story accepting what you feel/think as what the character feels/thinks, you're misunderstanding the story.
My husband has become a prisoner of the Israeli occupation😭😭
After we were besieged in Rafah for more than four days, the tent was demolished over my heads, my children, and my husband, and we were able to miraculously escape. For those whose story of escape was not complete, because they were able to capture my husband and he is now their prisoner after he was injured in his feet from the bombing. My child was also exposed to danger and underwent a difficult surgical operation that failed. My family is now without a father, without a breadwinner for us, in light of this war and this catastrophic famine. I cannot provide food and drink for my children, nor can I provide treatment for my sick child. Please help us by donating to save us from danger.
Please donate now
I want to thank every person with a humane heart who helped me and my children. I hope you continue to donate to my family.
I appeal to the merciful hearts, the appeal of the hearts of mothers, my children sleep without food In Gaza, we do not have flour, vegetables, fruits, or... the list goes on. I have started buying spoiled vegetables due to the high prices to satisfy my three children's hunger.Although I need care after the miscarriage and my baby needs medication after the surgery My husband is a prisoner and there is no one to support and provide for my family. Please donate. It may save our lives.

A minimum family meal would require 100 shekels. If a group of 20 people, like mine, lives together, it would require at least 300 shekels per day to prepare a meal.
The situation is tragic in every sense of the word.
Frankly and briefly, the situation in Gaza cannot be written about in a mere post or expressed in a mere picture or video clip. The situation in Gaza is more like an end-of-the-world movie, but this movie is titled The End of Gaza!!
There are many, many people who no longer care about the Palestinian issue and the Gaza war, as if it has become from another world or as if we are not human beings like you.
I hope that people who have humanity and mercy will show solidarity with us, share our suffering, help us overcome these hardships, and donate to us. And for those people who want a verification mark for our campaign so they can donate to us, here is the link to verify that our campaign is real and it is number 4 on this list gazavetters
My name is Abdelmajed.
I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.
The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.
Basic needs have become luxuries.
Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.
I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.
Escape from Gaza is my only hope,
but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.
I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.
My name is Abdelmajed, and I am a survivor of the war in Gaza. Everything I once knew has been taken away—my home, my safety, and the people
Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety.
Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.
Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.
I never thought I would be writing this. I never thought I would be begging for help just to keep my children warm, just to feed them one more meal. But here I am, reaching out to you, because I have no other choice.
My name is Rola. I am a mother of two beautiful children, and before October 7th, we had a life filled with love and laughter. We had a home. My children had their own room, filled with their toys and drawings. We would sit together on our balcony, drinking coffee in the early morning light. We had dreams, just like any other family.
But in an instant, it was all gone.
A missile struck. The earth shook beneath us. The air filled with dust and fire. My husband and son ran, stumbling over each other in terror. I stood frozen, the ringing in my ears drowning out my own screams. Our home was shattered—windows blown out, doors ripped from their hinges. And when I looked outside, our neighbor’s house, a place that once echoed with children's laughter, was nothing but rubble and ash.
That was just the beginning.
The bombs never stopped. Every night, I held my children close as the sky rained fire. The sound of explosions mixed with the cries of mothers searching for their babies in the darkness. I covered my children, whispering words of comfort, but how do you comfort a child who is terrified of dying in their sleep?
We had to leave. We walked away from everything—our home, our memories, the warmth of our life before. My children left behind their favorite toys, their books, their safe space. Now, we have nothing.
No home.
No food.
No clean water.
No way out.
I went to buy sugar the other day. It cost $20 for just a kilo. Food is disappearing, and the little that remains is impossible to afford. Every day, I fight to find just enough to keep my children alive.
I am exhausted. I am scared. I need your help.
I never imagined I would have to beg for my family’s survival. But today, I am.
Please, if you are reading this, help us. Help me save my children. Help us find shelter, food, a way to rebuild even a small piece of the life we lost. If we ever have the chance to leave, we need support. If we are forced to stay, we need a home again.
Every donation matters. Every share helps. Every voice that speaks for us keeps hope alive.
💚 Please donate if you can. Share our story. Help us survive. 💚
Hi I am Fatima and live in London UK. I have known Rola now for appr… Fatima Rajwani needs your support for From Despair to Hope: Help us to
Hi, my name is Mosab , and I’m from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.
This journey hasn’t been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from us—25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.
Our Journey So Far
When I first reached out, I couldn’t have imagined we’d make it this far. Thanks to your incredible kindness, we’ve reached 20,020 out of 30,000. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.
But the road ahead is still challenging. Every day, we’re reminded of how much we’ve lost and how much we still need to rebuild.
Here’s what life in Gaza looks like for my family right now:
🏠 Safety: The uncertainty of tomorrow weighs heavily on us.
😢 Loss: The absence of the 25 family members we’ve lost is a pain we carry every moment.
💔 Dreams on Hold: The future feels so far away when survival takes all our strength.
How You Can Help Us Cross the Finish Line
Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference:
$5 might not seem like much, but it could mean a meal, clean water, or a tiny bit of hope for my family.
Can’t donate? Reblog this post to help us reach someone who can. Every share matters more than you know.

Why Your Support Matters
Your kindness isn’t just about helping us meet our goal—it’s about reminding us that we’re not alone in this fight. It’s about hope. It’s about survival. And it’s about giving my family a chance to rebuild our lives, even in the face of unimaginable loss.
Thank you for helping us get this far. Your generosity and compassion have already brought us closer to a better tomorrow, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.

i don't wanna sound hopeless but i feel like so many of you don't care or have stopped caring about palestine.
the news of hospitals being bombed, children being massacred, people dying from the cold, and the famine spreading in gaza does not seem enough to grab attention or make people care.
what new tragedy needs to befall gaza for you to start talking about it? the occupation kills a child every few minutes. people are cold and are starving. refugee camps are being bombed with bombs that can level city blocks.
this all happens because of all of us. we are complicit in this genocide because our governments use the taxes we pay to send weapons to the occupation. weapons that are used to kill children and impose a blockade that is starving 2 million people.
the very fact that we're still going about our days when all of this is going on breaks my heart. especially because we have failed to stop our governments from using our money to arm israel.
i urge you, please be generous and donate to suad and her baby khaled. he is just six months old and suad is unable to find any formula for him. if she finds anything, it is extremely expensive. the baby also needs warm clothes and is suffering from a respiratory problem and needs a nebulizer.
I have tried my absolute best not to seek financial help online, especially when our collective focus should be aimed towards the welfare of our Palestinians, Congolese, and Sudanese brothers and sisters. I truly have considered countless options before resorting to asking for monetary assistance but I no longer have the means to keep myself alive and my little family afloat. Following my father's death almost three years ago due to colorectal cancer, I was diagnosed late last year with Stage 2A breast cancer.
There's an even elaborate explanation on the fundraising page that I will be attaching in this post. Please, take some time to read it. I am our family's breadwinner, and I am only asking for monetary assistance because I no longer have a job/source of income nor is my previous company willing to shoulder my medical expenses. I am left to fend for myself and I have used all of my savings to afford numerous physical/health examinations and the prescribed medication.
I am going to attach photos of how disfigured my right arm now is, the evident lumps/tumors on my armpits and if you want proof of how the cancer affected my breasts, please directly message me. I don't think I can explicitly share the photos here. But to put enough context, my left breast shrunk into at least 1/3 of its original size.
I am sincerely sorry for being a bother, but if you have the means to donate to my fundraising post, please do. I badly needed all the help I can get so I won't be summoned to court and would be able to afford surgery on time. If you cannot donate, please kindly share this post. If you have any other questions, please reach out to me through direct messaging. This is my only account (I will probably reblogged this on my side blog as well) so please, if you see someone using my photos, alert me. Thank you. Please understand, too, that I will take a bit of time to respond because I am struggling to grasp my phone/only typing using my left hand. Thank you, and please consider helping me.
We are trying to make a heartfelt appeal to gather enough monetary assistance for my niece, Alex, who is currently battling stage 2A breast
I am genuinely sorry for this. If I could only ask for your permission one by one, I would but I am afraid of the possibility that Tumblr may consider my plea as spam. I am reaching out because I am desperate.
I don't want to resort to asking for monetary assistance online but I was no longer allowed to get back to work because of how deformed my right hand is now and because of my declining health. The entirety of my right arm is not only swollen, but blood kept seeping out of my knuckles, my palm, and my elbow. Protruding tumors/swelling have reached both of my breast, too, and is affecting my shoulder. Please reach out to me if you want to see proof/health updates because I cannot post the photos here for they are somewhat too graphic. If you could, please take some time to read my pinned post. If you can't donate, a reblog will be highly appreciated still. I need all the help I could get. If you want to be removed from being tagged, please message me directly, and I will immediately do as you like. I know that this may seem invasive but it is not my intention. I am just desperate, and have been running out of ways to keep myself afloat. I cannot offer something in return other than express my immense gratitude. I am sorry, and please consider helping me. Thank you very much.
since tumblr is going to start scraping blogs to train ai be sure to glaze and nightshade your art!! Not only will both of these programs protect your art from being copied but nightshade also poisons any ai that tries to steal it
here is some more info on these tools and where you can download them:
btw the palestinian children’s relief fund is currently running a fundraiser & is more than halfway to their goal of $10,000 !
here’s a link for anyone who is willing & able to donate, please share so it can reach more people, especially as the weather grows colder & these children are desperately lacking resources.
It doesn't mean that any random shit you do is fine so long as you're angry or sad. It means that the anger and sadness is fine, attacking the emotion is pointless, and it's your behaviour in response to it that can help or harm.
making this post to support the campaign of @kawlafamily7 who is @fidaa-family2 ‘s sister

Hello world, these are my brothers’ children. They were deprived of education in this war and became uneducated, so it was necessary to educate them. I began to participate with them and educate them away from schools because schools and educational centers have become shelters for displaced families.
I hope you help me to provide them with a suitable environment, support them, and provide them with the necessary life for them so that they can live like any child in the world. I hope you help me and support them. Thank you.
