Music over life

Number 23 never went anywhere without their headphones. Music was the only thing that quieted the voices in their mind, so every song became a safe place they could escape to.

One day, their headphones broke. 23 wandered the streets in silence, frightened by thoughts they couldn't drown out. When someone finally handed them a new pair, they smiled for the first time in weeks, pressed play, and closed their eyes as the world faded into the only place where they felt at peace.

The patient

The patient had been in the hospital for months, always staring silently at the ceiling.

One night, the nurses heard laughter echoing through the halls. They found every room empty, except his.

He sat on his bed, smiling, whispering, "They're finally awake." The next morning, he was gone, and his room was locked from the inside.

Sad but...not sad?

I do not know what this feeling is...regret? Anger? Depression? suffocation? But I know one thing for sure. It hurts like hell.

It makes my heart heavy, my footsteps slow, my back slouchy, and my mind blank. One step and I am regretting life, one step and I am angry at myself for living, one step and I break free of the shackles, one step and I jumped off the roof...

Am I dead?

Life in time

Maybe we all live the same...

10am I wake up

6am He wakes up

11am I eat

7am he eats

12:30pm I play games

8:30pm He plays games

Now... how is that possible? We ALL are not the SAME, so how in the world are we doing the same things...

Are we...truly real?

If I jumped off the cliff...I would die right?

But how certain are you that I really am dead? See, you are not, you look down to see my dead body, but it is not there. You tell yourself that perhaps you are too high to see it. Then you proclaim me dead.

The next day I walk in the office and look you dead in the eye...

Hello, I am a new writer and I will be writing short stories based on dystopian worlds, fantasy world and many more!

Teaser-

It felt like the whole room was spinning. No the whole room really was spinning, sending me up and down, left and right. I couldn't hold on to anything, couldn't see anything, couldn't hear anything. It was suffocating... that even my headphones filtered nothing.
