Obviously I am not going to pray. And sitting still and being quiet for ten minutes isn’t going to do crap for me. 

“Okay-- fine. I won’t force ya’ to go inside.” She murmurs, two beats passing. “Maybe I could... pray for you? You ain’t gotta say nothin’. I’ll do all the talkin’ for ya’, and all you gotta’ do is take my hands.”

Regardless most people don’t take note of those they don’t talk to. It just seems a little strange is all. Since most people care about themselves and maybe their friends and that’s it. What has that got to do with bone thickness?

“Really?” came her query, laced with surprise in her tone. “But it’s chocolate and marshmallow melty together.” Her head nodded though. “I can agree with the beer.”

“I guess I ain’t a fan of the flaky burnt bits. Freaks me out to look at, if we’re bein’ honest.” Darla murmurs before taking a swig of her drink.

“...Naw, not really.” She says, averting her gaze to the flames. “They ain’t that good, in my opinion. Besides, all ya’ need at a bonfire is to crack open a cold one.”

Looking around, eyes taking in the scene, the build of the fire and if anyone had the goods to make s’mores. “Do you see any chocolate around here? Some marshmallows maybe? I’ll gather some sticks,” she spoke to the person walking up beside her.

Day One: The Cantina

They were all staring at him, he could feel it. After the tragic murder of his girlfriend, they would all just watch to see what he would do. Some he was sure already suspected him. He sat, quietly pushing a few steamed veggies around on his plate. He didn’t want to be here… but he also didn’t want to be at home. He glanced up when someone sat down at his table.

Darla cautiously seats herself beside her friend-- one that’s clearly in need. Setting her tray on the table gently, she offers her brownie to him. “It ain’t made by me, but it’s real tasty.” Awkwardly cowering, she averts her gaze to her plate as she sets the pastry down. “Um... how you holdin’ up?”

We’re really not. The staff are cooks and grounds keepers not police or security or anyone meant to defend us. They can’t protect us. I would like to hope the place will be crawling with police when we get there but it seems unlikely.

People are already dead. Good people. People that didn’t deserve to die. Also I’m fairly certain I’ve never spoken to you before this trip so the fact you know my name is not only unsettling but it puts you right at the top of my suspect list. 

“They’re... in a better place.” She shrugs, though it’s clear that not even she truly believes that. “You realize I done seen everybody online, right? I got an idea who’s who and all that. My skull ain’t THAT thick.” Darla quirks a brow at him. “Suspect list? Right, okay...”
