After Sherlocks return, Johns anxiety can only be soothed if he’s feeling Sherlocks pulse. During the day, he sometimes curls up next to Sherlock and wraps his fingers around his wrist, counting.

Sherlocks heart always beats faster when he does this.

Sherlock is the type to have books on psychology and human behaviour, studying them after John goes to sleep.

He would sit into Johns chair by the fire and annotate paragraphs about love languages and attachment styles, trying to be better for his blogger.

He would learn the emotional aspects of Johns past through these, not just the rational deductions.

Also he would learn just how in love with this man he really is, strengthening the thought in him, because he realised the romantic things the books talk about were things he would without a doubt do with John.

Sherlock makes sure to tuck these books under his bed, but sometimes John would wake up from a nightmare and find him asleep in his chair, a pen hovering over the book cover "Psychology of Romantic Love - Nathaniel Branden".

Johnlock headcannon:

Sherlock admits to John that he has one thing he has never been able to do, which is tying a tie.

Of course, this is not true, but Sherlock likes watching John mumble stuff like "genius fucking bastard can't even tie it himself, so pathetic, while he pulls Sherlock closer by his collar and fumbles with his tie.

Everyone is confused why Holmes refuses to wear anything else now.

Now imagine with me:

Sherlock, being the sarcastic bastard that he is, would start calling John "darling" when giving little comments, first as a joke.

"Follow me darling."

"Well observed, darling."

Of course John would be a flustered mess, especially when these pet names would start leaking into their daily conversations.

"Pass me a pen, would ya sweetheart?"

"I am BORED, my love!"

(Sherlock doesn't realise this isn't a normal thing people do)
