Not only that, but he found he liked fencing, kept it up, and became a master fencer.
When I had the privilege to hear him talk at AwesomeCon 2015, he informed us he is a master fencer. It was a very clear implication that he is still fencing at his advanced age. No wonder he’s so healthy.

You’ve probably been asked this, but how do you personally watch discovery? I’m really not about subscribing to CBS for it but since I’m in the US it seems to be my only option. For now my plan is to binge on the 7 day trial once season 2 is over. Or, alternatively, maybe your followers have any recommendations for people who livestream on new episode days?
I used to get it through somewhat questionable means [you wouldn’t steal a DVD, you wouldn’t steal a car music plays], but yeah, I watch it via CBS now. I know someone irl who watches Star Trek on a livestream site (the person running it has shows on a constant loop), so I’ll ask him what it is and get back to you when I have the answer
Here is how to watch Star Trek: Discovery on Netflix at the same time as the rest of the world (aka 24 hours after the US):
On a computer, download and install Opera. It has a free built-in VPN and Ad-blocker. (The VPN is not great but it is one of very few that actually works with Netflix.)
Go to Settings > Advanced and scroll down until you find VPN
Flip the switch to allow VPN
Now in the address bar you should have a blue VPN logo, click on it to open the menu
At the bottom you should have another roll down menu with the selected option: Optimal Location (or something similar)
Click on it to pick your preferred location (either Europe or Asia)
