Sometimes when I really hate the way I look, I go online and look up prices of plastic surgery. That gives me perspective on okay I don't hate it that much, I'm just gonna go give myself a haircut.
But also do you really want to look like someone who had plastic surgery?
Well it's a choice between that and looking like my mom.
I got lucky and ended up looking more like my dad.
I'd still be considering plastic surgery if I looked like my dad.
I don't know if this could help, but have you considered that some of the features you hate about yourself are loved by those you care about?

My sister was very self-conscious of how she looked until she had a daughter that looked just like her.
Good for her. I come from a long line of people who failed to fix and heal their parents. This curse ends with me.

I already keep my hair dyed, but unfortunately my dad had dark hair - very dark brown - and my mom kept her hair in a range between blonde, red, and the same natural ash brown that I have, so I'm at somewhat of a loss on coming up with one that's reasonable to maintain and possible to achieve.
Could go for a cold shade of brown with purple undertones?
Dad's hair WAS a cold shade of brown.
Green hair it is, then.
I wish there was some more permanent way to maintain hair colour - like switching my entire scalp with someone else who'd like to have my natural hair colour and texture - but I know that even if that was a thing, I'd have to take some sort of immunosuppressants for the rest of my life like for any organ transplant.
The permanent eye colour altering technology isn't advanced enough to be an option I'd be willing to consider. I work in visual arts and if I go blind I'm out of a job forever.
Would it work to try wigs? I know they can be kinda expensive for the nicer ones but you'd open up a huge range of color and style options without needing nearly as much maintenance as dyeing.
If you're interested in trying vivids and would like info on making that more affordable and accessible (including longer time between re-dyes) I'd also be happy to share some information on that but it doesn't fully sound like what you're looking for.
Contouring with makeup can also make a big difference, but it sounds like that might be more work/upkeep than you're interested in?
Anything that has to be consciously intentionally put on every day and consciously intentionally taken off every day is more upkeep than I can maintain. I can't even do that with sunscreen every day.
Would a radically different haircut help at all or would that have the same maintenance challenges as dye?
And are you wanting to crowdsource ideas or are you mainly looking to vent and be treated with care for the struggles you're dealing with right now? I don't want to keep throwing ideas out if what you need right now is more empathy than solutions. 🫂
