Hey if you’re schizophrenic/psychotic I just want you to know that you’re a wonderful person and that you deserve so much better than the demonization, marginalization and stigmatization you face in this society.
Please consider reblogging this/other positivity posts for schizophrenic/psychotic people every once in a while. If you have more than 100 followers, odds are that a couple of them experiences psychosis and that they rarely see positivity posts for people with their symptoms.
So my little brother works at Sandia Labs, which he loves; he’s a physicist and engineer, and good at it. He just got hired a few months ago, and is like bottom of the clearance level totem pole, but.
Apparently the lab loaned a seismometer to a missile test site, who broke it.
So they gave it back to the lab with an apology, and the lab went “welp fuck guess we’ll buy a new one”
“Wait a minute,” my brother says. “I think I got this.”
He proceeded to google up the user manual for the model, take it apart, clean it, and put it back together.
It now works flawlessly and his bosses think he’s a goddamned genius because he just saved them 20k with four minutes of google searching.
He specifically works as an engineer in their super-computing research division; he did his master’s on quantum computing technology.
What I’m saying is that he LITERALLY works in an office full of nuclear physicists, engineers, and rocket scientists and he impressed them by knowing how to google a product number.
I’m dying, as a mechanical engineering intern this is entirely my life. I fixed a machine worth 175k by sitting down, actually reading the manual, and disconnecting and reconnecting two wires that were in the wrong place. Smart people can be dumb.
He even told them what he did.
“I googled up the user manual.”
“You can DO that???? YOU ARE BRILLIANT.”
“….you know what, yes. You are correct. I am. Raise my pay grade please.”
The moral of this story is that don’t sell your own skills short, kids, knowing how to google shit is a marketable skill.

Turning Mulan’s main villian into a female witch is such a shitty move. Mulan defeated a powerful man in front of a nation where women weren’t looked as equal and strong to men. This movie showed a woman breaking so many barriers by going up against the most feared man in China, and using her smarts and wits to take BOTH him AND HIS ARMY down. I get that live action remakes tend to have some changes and some changes are not gonna live up to everyone’s expectations …..but this one change I 100% cannot get behind because it’s such a disservice to what Mulan mean’t and represented. Having this movie be directed by a white person, and written only by white people is such a bullshit move, Disney. Yeah, Disney had white writers for the original Mulan movie too, but they also had a female Chinese person write the screenplay because you can’t fucking write a story centered around a Chinese legend without involving Chinese people to work on that story.

Not only that, but they’re taking out Li Shang and replacing him with a guy that fucking bullies Mulan as a competition and only sees her as a fuckable person when he finds out that Mulan is really a woman. WHAT THE FUCK FOR? Shang treats his soldiers with respect as a fucking general. He literally owes Mulan his life when she saves him and most of the army. Why the FUCK would you get rid of Shang and replace him with a fucking douchebag who picks on Mulan just because???
Reading this really pisses me off... I mean WHAT THE HELL DISNEY?? When I saw Mulan for first time it really empowered me that women could anything a man could. THEN BUT THEN I read they were taking Li Shang out!?!? This why I stick to the original movies..
