Rose flatters Dave on the basis his navigations of an "urban" (*which she will later also use euphemistically for "ethnic") environment are fraught for the prostrations of his lessers. Rose, of course, does not have this problem given the form of her mother's ostentatious wealth (much land to herself). I suspect Dirk had an impoverished childhood before meeting Jake, thus his neglect of Dave (e.g. cinderblock desks) is downstream of habits in his own childhood. Roxy would've come into wealth in [early] childhood, given her bedroom in the lab. Which is to say Rose has cottoned onto a distinction of being more of an aristocrat than Dave.
This is what underlies Rose's insinuation of flagrant homosexuality for Dave's not playing the game with her. To reject the advances of a "lady" (a woman of superior social position) is unbefitting of riffraff.

The above remark is sarcastic, and by Manifestation Theory logic the first conversation with Kanaya is rubbing in the backhandedness of John's letter pertaining to her aloofness.

Ergo, Rose's references to the ethnic as other and disgraceful ("a great whirling batshit pandemonium, somewhat resembling the chaos of an especially ethnic wedding") can be taken similarly as Funny Miracles that make her feel primitive (loaded word!) and self-hating. Ergo, Rose is a self-hating black girl.

AR expresses disdain for amiphibians and reptiles after Dave unloads a shitton of homosexual cargo, the amphibious is easily taken as relating to gender nonconformance. (The reptiles all it occurs to me is antisemitic conspiracy, though…Dave does make reference to Jewish weddings…) The amphibious also refers to the Genesis frog, to its creation, and Creation in general. All of the black Carapacians we've seen thus far are male, (The Queen is degendered for our convenience*) thus I'd say this hatred for nonconformance is sublimated hatred for the Mother.
*Her coming into the picture later doesn't affect my read too much, but then I'd have to talk about Meenah. I don't want to do that right now.
Dingodad calling the chess world one of stratified classes (as exemplified by the Mayor being compared to livestock) made me think about how the White Queen is, it seems, very well-regarded, despite the Mayor's stated hatred of kings. WQ also tells Rose, "A mother will do whatever is best for her children." Perhaps then the operative phrasing here is "whitewashed matriarch." Regardless of how responsible she may be for her people's/children's subjugation, the White Queen/Mother is to be revered and receive gratitude.
IN CONCLUSION: I fucked up writing this and it took way more than 5 minutes. I didn't realize how many different trains of thought I was entertaining in reading the update and it was actually difficult to organize the information such that it could be read linearly; I also potentially left out a lot of pertinent info 😭
In any case, I don't think I can appropriately follow up on the actual "TERF" aspect without talking about Meenah, which is I think too far from the scope of focusing on things proximate to the update, and others have already written about it. I guess it'd be a matter of synthesizing my point of hatred-of-GNC as hatred-of-mother to those points.
