We're A Happy Family-Final Self Para
13 Years Later...
The sun was setting, night coming as a police car pulled up into it's owners driveway. A man stepped out, tall, lean, a towel wrapped around his neck as he closed the door. "Think I'll leave my bag inside, got a day off, so I won't need the uniform" In basketball shorts and gym shoes, opting to let his abs and muscles breathe for a bit without the shirt. As he made his way inside, he was careful to make sure the house was quiet at first.
Once he was in, he sat the towel on the couch, looking at the dining room table to see his son writing something down. He walked over, rubbing the boy's head and smiling. Before he could speak, he heard another voice call out. "Hey Teddy! Come on, I'm gonna teach you how to shoot!" With that, the boy ran off, hopping off his chair and running into the backyard just a screen door and a room away. The man ran out after him, watching an older boy around 14 dribbling a basketball. The older boy showed something to the younger boy, making the man smile. "You showing him your moves Jacob?" Jake smirked, the same smirk his father had. "Yeah dad, Ted needs to learn the Turner game, like how you taught me, besides, basketball season is coming up, I wanna be a starter this season." "You keep at it then, now where are your sisters and mom?" "Oh Madison's upstairs on the phone with her friend, and Jackie and mom are in the dance studio." "Alright, keep at it boys." Jake watched his father walk away, nodding and smiling as he reached for his phone. "Here squirt, dribble this 50 times like I showed you twice. I gotta make a call." He looked through his contacts, searching for her number and pressed talk, putting the phone up to his ear. "Hello...wassup Maci? What it do in TO shawty? When you gone let me holla?"
Dave Turner walked upstairs to his house, knocking on the door of his teenage daughter, Madison. When she didn't respond, he opened it, listening to her talk on the phone. "...and I know, last time I saw Caleb Nelson when he was like 4 at his dad's grave or whatever, but he is soooo cute now! I saw his Facebook pictures and told me to meet him in...DAD!" She turned her head to look at her father, covering the phone with her hand. "Daddy GET OUT!" "Don't you have homework young lady? Scholarship essays?" "I've got it done, AP Calc, AP English, AP Trig, it's done! I've got cheer leading to focus on right now!" Dave raised his eyebrow, smiling a bit. "Cheer leading? Or fangirling over a Colorado boy?" "GET OUT!" She threw a pillow at the door, scoffing at him. "You are your mother's daughter. Dinner in 30 Madison Jennette Lewis." He shook his head, closing the door and walking towards the dance studio.
He walked inside, not seeing anyone, so he grabbed a Gatorade out of the refrigerator, taking a sip before he heard voices. Quickly, he darted out, as not to be seen. He looked on from a corner, as an older woman and younger girl laughed, as music started to play. Their movements were fast, their bodies moving loose and in a fury, legs twisting and bodies turning quickly. He was still amazed after all these years at how amazing a dancer Jess was, it was only natural she became one of the world's best. Their daughter seemed to follow in her footsteps, moving as furious as her mother, matching her move for move. Once the music stopped, the females grabbed some water bottles, sitting down on the floor, back against the white walls. The younger girl spoke, a little out of breathe. "Hey mom...can I ask you something?" "Does it have to do with your movement being off by 2 seconds? You're better than that, Jacqueline." "Well I guess...it's about this boy. We met him a few weeks ago in Toronto, Gavin, Gavin Milligan...we've been talking on the phone, a lot, like every single day and...how do I know if he likes me?"
Dave groaned quietly, rolling his eyes at the thought of his daughter liking any boy, especially a Milligan. Before he could march in and set her straight, Jess had other ideas. "Well sweetie...I think you should follow your heart. Be careful, but follow your heart. Your father actually dissed me to go out with your Aunt Jenna once." "The crazy Aunt Jenna in the mental institution?" "Yes, but that's not the point here. The point is that he had to grow up some before he really saw me, and even then he still had some growing up to do. Any other women would have walked away and never looked back." "Well why didn't you?" The girl gave her a confused look. Jess just smiled and blushed. "...he never gave up on me. He was the one, who wanted this...all of this, for you, your brothers, your sister, me...all of it. He was the man that didn't give up on what he wanted, and if this boy likes you, he won't give up." "I...think I understand. Thanks mom." "Good." The girls hugged, making Dave smile as he saw it. "Is that a good enough answer honey?" Jess yelled out, laughing a bit. "Yes dear! You looked wonderful dancing Jackie!" He yelled as he walked away from the studio, grabbing his bottle and sipping Gatorade.
Dave walked into his room, looking by his laptop, looking at a picture mailed to him from Emma Nelson. In it, a picture of her and her children taken just recently. There was also a letter with the picture, saying Thank you for your help David, Caleb will appreciate you calling some colleges for athletic scholarships. It means a lot to me, so thank you. Caleb thanks you, and I know if he were alive, he'd probably try to punch you...then thank you. Dave laughed at the letter, setting it back down. Dave Turner had it all, he was happy, his family was happy. And that was all he could ever ask for.
//Keeping this account, will check for messages so yeah.
//I won't make this too sappy...
I'm not an emotional sappy guy, but it really hit me today. I've been here for over 4 months, since July. Over those past few months I've seen a lot, I've learned a lot, I've done a lot. But this place was always here, a constant. Like whenever RL had a bunch of bullshit, I could come here and joke around and have fun and just be myself. Yeah I joke a lot, if I made any of you (Zoe, Hannah, haha) uncomfortable my bad, but I love each and everyone of you. Really, you guys made my life super fun.
If I did anything positive, I hope I made you and all my followers appreciate Dave and Connor a little more. I guess Connor was easier, he just needed some aging. But Dave is...well like I don't know if I ever said this before, but somebody like Dave hits close to home. I know guys like Dave, I grew up around kids like Dave, nice kids who get caught up in things that they shouldn't be. And a lot of them, kinda went down a bad path, they stayed down it and never learned from their mistakes. Dave is like me, one of those good kids who joke and make mistakes, but always always tries to do the right thing in the end. I just wish the show highlighted that part more instead of fucking with his character or doing stupid shit to it, but that's another thing. I just hope I made you see him in a different light, like he's not a bad guy. A cocky kinda big mouth, but a nice guy.
Blah, I think I was rambling. Anyway, see you guys later. Deuces, sayonara, adios, and all that good shit. YOLO.

why/how did drake and spinner die?
//Plane crash. :( The Day the Music Died Part II, lol wikipedia it.
After making the decision to move to New York, it was a rough adjustment for Dave and Jess at first. But eventually, Dave rose through the ranks of the New York Police Department, becoming one of the youngest Lieutenants in his department. Following the death of Spinner and Drake, he reflected on the things that had happened between them. Spinner may have been pigheaded, rude, and indecisive, but he was a good friend to those he considered friends. More importantly, he was the reason Dave had the love of his life, and in a weird way, that was something be thankful for. He visits his grave every year on the anniversary, to the surprise of his and Spinner's friends, he's the most somber.
Jess gained a flare for dance again, becoming a successful ballet dancer on Broadway. Though it didn't come easy, her constant struggles to stay thin and dance at a high performance clashing with her duties at home to her son and eventual husband. It was a struggle, and after some therapy and lessons, she overcame it, becoming a better dancer in the process. They married a year after moving to New York, January 14, 2017. Less than 8 months later, she gave birth to a daughter, Jacqueline Marie Turner on September 18, 2017. After Madison's mother passed away of cancer 3 years later, Madison came to stay with them, just in time for the arrival of Theodore David Turner, born July 27th, 2020. The couple resides in their upscale apartment in New York City, vacationing in the Bahamas and Toronto in the Summer, Dave opting to stay at his parents when Jess and the kids visited Jess's friends, especially Hannah.
//Stay gold guys. I'm in Nearly Superheroes as Dave too so yeah, I'll try and do an epilogue happy ending for Dave and Connor whenever Jackie and Sammi get on. KK?
