Okay, but I'm back? I was finally able to log back in! After some two long years, what?!? Like the last time I was here, I was fifteen turning sixteen and now, I'm seventeen turning eighteen?!? I wasn't able to re-enact that "sixteen turning seventeen" scene here T-T I truly wish some of you remember me!

30 trips around the sun and im still surprised when the days get shorter after a long summer like the nights already feel much cooler now and soon it'll be dark at 4 in the afternoon and i'll go wow man look how dark it is and it's only 4 and come spring ill realize that wow you can actually tell the days are getting longer and warmer isnt that crazy and in the summer i'll be lying in bed at 11 thinking woah it's still not dark out and then in september ill say to myself phew that sure was a long summer you can already tell the days are getting shorter and ill remember this post and maybe ill go look for it and reblog it and dear reader, i for one hope that we both live to see it

Thinking about how my mom tried to “seduce” my dad when they were in college together by sneaking oranges into his backpack, because she grew up food insecure and feeding someone/sharing food was a big deal with her upbringing with a lot of emotional meaning–

and meanwhile my poor dad is just convinced that he’s been haunted by some citrus poltergeist because why the fuck are there always oranges in his bag he swears he did not put there???

that awkward moment when you have the zoom link for a formal meeting right in front of you but you don’t want to arrive too early but also don’t wanna be late so you just stare at the screen until it’s the exact right moment to enter the zoom session. I just love how we as humans took the horrible feeling of “I don’t know if it’s appropriate to knock already” and translated it to the internet.
