The Dreaded First Post
I have no idea how to start a tumblr blog but my friends have said I really really should. What with the desire for people to actually see and enjoy my writings. So fuck it! let's dive in, I wrote and self published my first book, "The Curse of Want" on the 9th of April 2024. It took around a year to complete including revisions and planning and writing. Well... Not quite in reality it took about a fortnight in total hours, but full time jobs in tech are the bane of art. No matter the achievement felt awesome! So watching all twelve sales roll in I set about the task of writing the second book in the series, "The Death of Empires". Of the 20 planned chapters I've written 13 and started on the 14th. It's a direct sequel to the first book taking place in the days following the... Well... no spoilers here. Over the coming posts I'll delve a little into some the characters, locations, the reasons for writing the narrative I have. Along with a few tangents such as "why I'm so mad about those damnable monks Christianising perfectly good myths but also thankful for writing something down". Link to the paperback Link to the eBook
