This is a semi-independent OC blog for Agnes Cortes, a Halo OC. I will roleplay her from her enlistment in 2548 with the UNSC Marine Corps to her activity post-2554 as a Spartan-IV. She participates in aeternaregnares ONI Burn story line, and her role as a Reclaimer is an idea I plan to explore, but is open to most any sort of thread. OC and AU friendly. The sword was short and sturdy, by all appearances a practical weapon for self defense. If it were not for the plainly ornamental hilt, so designed that an opponents blade might simply slip under, it might have seemed as if the king knew what he was doing.

Preparing Little Notes to the Earth incantations, being so similar to prayers, answered prayers at that, often becomes a sort of spiritual experience for its practitioners, who often share a common bond of respect for studying the same complicated pseudo-scientific field. Whats more, because the Little Notes require such specific runes in such specific styles, practitioners tend to develop similar hand writing quirks, usually only obvious to other practitioners.

Where arrows had safely splintered upon tearing through the cape, the steaming red pellet detonated on contact, filling the alley with waves of bright heat, smoke, and the flaring runes of magic, clearly a fire spell of some sort. King Coron was briefly obscured, when the smoke cleared he seemed no worse for wear, baring an excited grin only outshone by the layered curtain plates that made up the armored sleeve his cape had just moments ago concealed.

Halo: Rediscovery

The Burial Fortress of Khere Ohe, housing the Coalition AIs of many prehistoric Lords of Admirals (though none of the Morale and Political Commanders) hid itself long ago to hide from the watchful sensors of the Builder facility far above. When Anthem crashes it, it rises again, signalling to potential human rescuers. But being the clever cookie that he is, Mendicant picks it up first and the Covenant follow him to 'The Great Tomb'. The Forerunner AI sets off every security protocol the fortress has, and both factions are shut out, allowing Anthem to take a back entrance into Khere Ohe. Unfortunately, early defenses recognize the Librarian's Geas on all four humans, and they're forced to fight their way to the 'too proud to run' Lord AIs, and the confusion is 'settled between kin'. Unfortunately, the recently awoken Coalition takes their new knowledge one illogical step too far and invite Mendicant in without first consulting the team. Mendicant begins taking over the Fortress and its super powerful weapon systems, but the Coalition digs in for a bitter fight. One Lord is elected to support Anthem, and they're teleported out of the base, beginning a planet-wide quest for the enigmatically named Mark of Favor, which presumably will grant them the ability to manually retake control of Khere Ohe. Opposing them all the way are the Storm and Mendicant, who gradually gains control of more of the planets defenses, bringing their firepower to bear against Fireteam Anthem. Here begins the Mantle War, in Halo: Rediscovery.

Because I was thinking, the Storm gain control, and are going to contact their Fleet. Anthem turns on Mendi, fights past Sentinels, straight up shuts down the Installation. It begins to fall. Mendi and the Storm team up to kill off Anthem, reactivate the station. It still crashes, and then we have a three way ground war as the Storm start digging for whatever is left, Anthem fights to survive, Mendi goes after everybody. Not sure how it continues.

Scrap six. Three missions made of pairs.

Three levels defending agains the Storm, the first with only Cortes, the other two following other Anthem characters when they arrive. One level shutting down the Installation, followed by a fifth defending the power as it crashes. Sixth level is Anthem fleeing the wreckage site as all heck comes down. And then more adventures, possibly with more really, really tense alliances. Storm+Anthem when Mendi finds something hidden from even him?
