too late ✌️
Switching over to @muscle-and-maw! Feel free to hit me up there!
*ingrid kissed their heads* what a great idea
One of the younglings got so excited they squeaked, then turned around and hugged Gunmar.
The Warlord paused, looking at Ingrid for a moment before setting a hand gently on the younglings head.
Fujimoto found a large piece of heart stone and carried it home in his jaws despite having hands. “Mrrggmph!”
Gunmar watches him struggle with it, waiting patiently to be given the gift.
His tail thwacked against the ground, the only sign betraying his excitement.
*ingrid wrapped all of them in a soft embrace* they are all lovely. You all did your best
"Gunmar said we could put the bones together and hang it from the ceiling in our playroom!" said Hope excitedly.
Its very pretty, hope. Did you know that yellow and purple are complimentary colours?
"Does that mean they look good together?" Hope asked, tilting her head.
Honeypot nudged Hope side, presenting an impressive looking claw painted all white, "I made mine look more like a bone!"
Now all the children were jostling and holding up their offerings.
Carnelian stood behind them, holding Dovey, who had a bone with a single pink handprint on it.
"Dovey needed a little help." Carnelian said.
*ingrid looked curious now* oh?
As if on que, the children poured into the room, each carrying a bone.
"I showed them how to clean a skeleton." Gunmar explained, "They each chose a bone from the stalkling we cleaned and painted it."
Some of the bones were a little chewed on, and the rust troll changelings had paint on their scales, but the changelings came forward first.
"I got the skull." Hope said, smiling and showing Ingrid the skull painted bright yellow and purple.
I dont feel comfortable being alone in here anymore. We ought to get a lock before I have my next season
"Only you and I will have the key." Gunmar replied, secretly pleased that Ingrid wasn't begging for the lives of any of the thralls. She was learning.
"Your children are close behind. They've prepared a gift for you."
What felt to be a couple of days had passed and Margie was asleep in her cell having found soft materials to make a comfortable “bed”.
"Is that it?" Came a voice.
Two thralls appeared, almost identical, aside from the fact that one of them had piercings and the other didin't.
"And you're sure it's not a human? I'm told thats what humans look like."
"I'm certain! She's a steam locomotive!"
The two thralls gawked at her through the bars of her cell.
Margie opened her sky blue eyes her pupils still thin as paper. She stared at the two guards not knowing what to make of them. “Who are you?” She demanded.
"It talks!" Exclaimed one of them.
"I told you humans can talk!" snapped the other.
"She's not a human! She's a steam locomotive!"
The two looked at her curiously.
"I'm Gog. That's Magog."
Margie stared at them before snorting and turning away.
"What's it like?" Magog demanded suddenly, leaning forward toward the bars of her cell. "The surface. What's it really like?"
"there's no such thing as Grass, right? It's just a myth?" Gog added.
*ingrid gestured to the thralls* and they let him walk into our bedchambers without supervision. I could have been...he could have..
Gunmar rumbled with a quietly suppressed rage.
"I will have their hearts and lungs stewed in salt and fed to you."
He looked as if he wanted to kill them then and there, but he didn't want to leave Ingrid's side.
Don’t use AI to write. Use childhood trauma like a real poet.
It’s been 5 months since abigor got pregnant, thr first 4 months were normal, but now the god is overly sensitive and emotional. He has been sitting on his couch eating the ice cream that he brings from the overworld back into the darklands.
He has been crying all morning due to his state and has just calmed down.
Pudd was on duty, very reluctantly, she wanted to be with Abigor, but she had patrols to attend to. she'd get home as soon as she could.
"Wine?" Strewth asked Abigor, offering him his canteen, "It might settle your nerves."
Abigor slowly turned his head, his eyes were red from the early morning crying. He took the spoon in his hand and threw it at Strewth, nearly missing his head.
“Are you idiotic, wine can kill the baby!” Abigor was growling. His stomach was very large, it was already poking out to the point he couldn’t wear his normal clothes.
Strewth dodged the spoon, holding his hands up defensively.
"Alright! Alright!" He said quickly. He'd had a mate and son before, but this was his first time with a pregnant husband.
"Why don't you give me your legs, and I'll give them a rub?" Strewth suggested, hoping to temper Abigor's flames.
Abigor snorted before nodding, he laid back against the couch cushions, making another spoon appear in his hand, continuing to eat out of the tub of ice cream.
Over time Abigor has been craving things he normally never eat. Ice cream, cake, chocolates, anything sweet went down his gullet.
Strewth downed the canteen of wine himself, then settled down beside Abigor with a rumbling growl. It was a submissive sound that meant 'I mean no harm.'
He took Abigor's legs in his lap and his powerful hands went to work rubbing them.
After a while Abigor relaxed, slowly lying down fully on the couch, it was the calmest Abigor had felt in ages. He set the tub down before purring.
His legs and ankles were a bit swollen, “where Pudd?” He was in a daze as now his body was no longer stressed.
"She's got patrol today, but she'll be home before I go on mine, don't you worry." Strewth told him. "We're having Mushroom soup for supper."
Strewth relaxed visibly at the sight that Abigor was no longer angry. He tilted his head a bit at the ice cream.
"Can you make meat appear as well?"
Nothing much from me today...just a little shading practice sketch...which version do you like better?
Just a quick reblog...
I want to draw something new, but i am soooo tired...
