BEIRUT, No No No (from No No No, out September 2015)
Few things can pull me out of the busy humdrum of life these days, but a tasting from a new Beirut album is definitely one of those prized moments. Zach Condon, a seemingly fragile being who does not do too well with the lifestyle of a music savant like himself, appears to have been through quite a bit since his last album, The Rip Tide (2013). No No No is the first single from an album by the same name that will be released in September 2015, and it is graced with all of the trappings of a great Beirut song - energetic horn sections, orchestraic and a little melancholic. Can’t wait to see him live in a week at Musicfest NW (still one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen, every time) and then hear the whole album in a month. Thanks for coming back from the edge, Zach!
