Complete* DC Show & Film List + Additional Info

I've never really watched much DC stuff other than a handful of the DCEU movies, but since watching Superman (2025) it has completely changed my tune, and I want to go back and catch up on everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.

And so I will be watching everything (mainly in order but I might jump around a little bit) but if you want me to skip ahead to a specific one, I'll probably do it.

*I'm fairly sure l've got everything, but when researching I kept finding more projects that aren't on my list, so if I am missing anything or made a mistake or a misspelling please tell me

How this will work is that I will record my live thoughts while watching, and I'll rank the shows/movies against each other at the end (if it’s a show then I’ll rank it once I’ve done all episodes). I very much encourage for civil discussions, I do want to hear about what you guys think. That's enough of my rambling about something most people won't read anyway, so here's the list:

Alrighty Superman II, let’s kick it!

Very nice abstract planetary space

Okay so there’s krypton… again, I had to double check I clicked the right movie

Who’s this evil dude on a very green screen background? Oh crap snapped poor roboman’s sneak

You can tell these 3 are evil because they are wearing black and look very scary (and a tad hot too (just me?))

Okay so triple baddie prediction here, I know the name Zod, I’m guessing he’s the leader and is as evil as Supes is good. The woman is just there as eye candy and won’t do much on her own, and big boy up there is a fucking idiot but quite strong. Let’s see how this goes

My is the Superman title screen logo so absolutely fat?!

Oh hey rhombus gang is back and randomly drifting into a shockwave set them free on very convincing green screen rigs

Okay what the hell does Lois know Clark is Superman? Because she definitely saw the him denying the car

Cigarettes and oranges. A perfect bond, going together like baddies and rhombuses

Lois is very much the fierce go getter

Okay now Clark showing off to low that he can smash into cars and crush his thumb in a orange squeezer, he really wants her to know he’s the big Supes

This butler dude is quite rude and just got a icky vibe to him

Lois caught onto him being Superman before picking up his obvious feelings

There’s a quick scene where Clark is getting the hot dogs, and in the middle of setting up the kid obviously falling, he turns around sticks one finger up, shrugs and keeps walking. I don’t know why I just found that very funny

Bye-bye kid. How deep is the Niagara Falls!? That kid should be underwater!

Okay Lois is putting the pieces together

“Norf! Miss Teffmocker! NORF! NORF! NORF! NORF” okay calm down Lexi

Okay they wittily copying Superman 2025 with Alex and tachimasa breaking into the fortress

and slightly embarrassing but I just pieced together that Miss taskmaster and Eve in the big 25 movie. Did they not Otis back in that movie or do I have a case of the stoopid disease

Why is crystal man teaching about trees and god. How much do they know of earth? Did they think trees weren’t taught to Clark growing up?

Oh the phantom zone is that space rhombus, I know that from the LEGO Batman movie, one of the small handful of DC projects I actually saw. That movie fuckin rocks

Damn that ADR is obvious. I can’t tell if Lex likes the idea or super baddies or dislikes it or wants to exploit them or something

So proud of the big baddie, he finally got the laser eyes. And now he’s catching missiles, such a good job

Well that’s a stupid thing to do. I know he has to tune out so much that he hears but surely the collective tv channels playing at once is a clear signal that there are baddies around he should put down

Jeepers that transformation scene is icky. But that scene of Superman and then Clark coming out was pretty good. Also where did his clothes come from?

Update: they got freaky with it. Okay weird question but if Supes still had his powers would his jizz come out like bullets?

How is it taking him longer to get back TO the fortress than it did to get from the fortress to the diner, and why didn’t Lois come with?

What is that tank make of? Zods been firing at it for like 20 seconds and no kaboom

That’s so silly, Superman got stomped on into the ground and now I can only assume are in a massive intense fight scene for life and death. If only they put a camera down there

Once Zod jumped onto the car I only then realised how kinky the outfits are, like are you seen those boots and pants!?

I just can’t get over the cheesiness. Superman tossing what clearing is a mannequin on a string in killing me

Well that bus throw was vet anticlimactic. And absolutely no way that could have killed him

What the fuck is everyone doing? They can’t do shit against the baddies. Too be fair all they are doing is ruining their hairstyle and being a bit inconvenient.

I fucking love this scene. All the baddies blowing people off, everyone just slightly annoyed. I really like that phone guy just still talking while sideways and laughing

It’s like the Gangnam Style (is that still cool, funny and relevant? (Scratch that, I know it is))

God their breath just doesn’t end. What do you know Supes is just fine but also ran away, probably to recharge

My GOD Lexi is so full of himself. Why would he think they would still hold up their bargain?

Was the screen writers high when they wrote this? The baddies fire vague lasers at Superman which turns him red. And also they can teleport now, and also Superman can clone himself or are they holograms?

(Quick appreciation of the baddie woman’s badge collection which looks fire)

Did Superman make a hologram of himself just to chat up Lois?

Lex just wants to be apart of things

“Okay now Lex you go talk to Superman and please don’t make a plan with him” - said the baddies. (Know know they got super hearing)

Who woulda thunk it, Lex betrays him and now the big Supes gotta go back to no powers again, but it will probably just make him stronger or something

Finally, someone getting on their knees in front of Zod. what’s an alien general who conquered the world in under a day gotta do to get some good head around here? Save it for the honeymoon you too

Ohhhh it blocked Superman from being affected by it and now zods hand is crushed and is making bedroom noises

Okay now they are falling into vague holes. Where the fuck did they go? Are they dead? Or just stuck in a hole

Golly what a movie, I honest don’t know what to say. It was by far the cheesiest movie I’ve ever seen and I love it for it. The story felt a bit disjointed and all other the place. And Superman and the baddies feel very nerfed and they added a buncha weird things. I can tell they got a bigger budget but they definitely took that and ran to exceed that as much as they could. All the characters feel a lot more cartoonish especially Lex.

A lot more sexual stuff than I thought or do I just have a dirty mind? I need to get some Non and Otis kissing, I need some Lois and Ursa smooching, and I need some god damn Zod and Superman Harem shit, with Lex in the goddamn corner watching! Is that so much to ask for? (I may have gone too far with that)

I give this movie a solid 7.5/10

(I’m still working out the best formatting and post length, and I may have gone a little ham just writing down every thought and writing it down. I really do want to engage with this community about everything)

Should I watch the Donner’s cut right after watching Superman II, or later or is there not much difference to warrant me watching it?

For context, I’m watching every single DC project and I’ve never seen most of it including these movies and giving my live thoughts and reviews. And I’ve got no clue what is different about this version of this movie

First Watch Thoughts and Review

Okay I was not expecting the 4th wall break intro

There’s that classic music, (I’ve only really heard it in Supes (2025) and my god how long are these opening credits taking? And there are just using the same text animation over and over

Krypton looks very chilly

“Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?” caught in some hula hoops, no escape from long monologues

Ooh these look like some big bad trios.

What the bloody hell is going on? That space rhombus just ate them! Well at least they are setting up sequels from the get go

I do like how the other krypton’s have alien symbols instead of the S, and by god those are the brightest clothes Ive seen

That’s one pointy escape pod, it’s a shame that was the only one on the entire planet

Was that a Wilhelm scream as the krypton’s are falling into vague hole?

Why the fuck are they showing Clark’s Willy!? I don’t want to see that

Ma Kent really wants to steal that baby

Lil Clark really wants to listen to records, and why is it up to him to single handedly clean up the school equipment?

His arms movement is quite disproportionate to his speed, he’s flailing too fast

Such a show off, but I can’t blame him I would do the same

I did not expect Pa Kent to die, let alone that soon

He’s a bird flying south, except he’s at the North Pole or wherever

How and why did he know where to take it to, and where to throw it?

The fortress of solitude was really quite beautiful, both as a design inside and out and as it was coming out of the water was fantastic

Space dad’s big head projection is like chatgpt how does that thing work? Does it have his conciseness in it?

Very goofy slow flying, and where did that suit come from? Did space dad make it?

I do like how she finished off boss man’s speech thingy

Clark looks like a massive nerd, and fairly believable disguise

He is super angry. Oh that’s where Superman reversing the earths spin=time travel comes from

How come he didn’t have to stop the flood or anything this time? And what would happened if he didn’t get it to spin the right way again? Would time on earth continue to go in reverse?

Well that was a swell movie, as someone who’s only Superman movie I’ve seen is 2025, I thought this movie was pretty good, it’s cinematography was good, great sound track that really brings everything to life and although the VFX are iffy at times, it was pretty good for back then. Superman really feels like superman and still holds up almost 50 years later. It’s goofy, sad, serious, and no doubt influenced countless movies to come. I give this movie 9/10

Superman (1941-1943)

Review

This series is what I would consider the gold standard of what Superman should be, its action packed, beautifully animated and just feels right

Now I’ve come to a tough decision on how I should rank and score this show, if it was just Fleischer Studios then it would be 8/10, but since the second half Famous studios, is far too strange, poorer quality of writing and racist, and I can’t just ignore that, so I’ve had to bump it down to 7/10

But I would love to know what you all think of the series, and how you would rate and rank them

Very much a lack of Supes and Lois in this Superman cartoon

This Gal can really hold her own against all the chaos

The Mummy!?!! Where’s Brendan?

Whys that woman so spinny?

Shortest court case ever, like what the hell. I know they are constrained to 7-10 minutes but they could have made it seem like the court case took longer than 2 and a half seconds to conclude

Why the lie Clark?

With that scene in the office, i think there has been some budget cuts as some parts of the frames like the top of the phone and Lois’s hair on her left shoulder weren’t drawn for a few frames and kept jumping in and out

King tush? Do they mean Tut?

Egyptian art pretty accurate but I’m not an expert.

You’re telling me that, this science dude just figured out a way to bring people back from the dead?

Clark was really the only one who could solve this poison pin?

I seem this series is now venturing into myth and mythology now

Wow it really did not take long to defeat those big guys, it really felt like it ended half way through the story

Very nice transition from newspaper to in the office

Okay now it’s great to see that Superman saved Lois but what happened to the dozen or so people working on the volcano and that tour guide guy? did Superman just let them die!? There was also so many people down there, and we didn’t see him attempt to save or look for anyone in danger except for Lois
