The moment the door guard had seen Alumina sprint for the door, he moved to shut it on her. However, she was halfway so it was a fight to escape from one and a fight to keep them in from the other. The guard called out to the Winter Soldier both asking if he was alright and pleading for assistance with the prisoner. Fear was on the man’s face as he saw the irritated and angry look on the soldier’s face.
Winter looked to his disabled arm then rolled his head back up, lip twitching sharply as he looked to the glowing woman fighting for freedom. Heavy footsteps brought him over to the doorway and in one swing of his normal arm, stuck the syringe needle into the side of her neck, pumping the sedative into her blood stream. In the quick time it took for the drug to work, Winter’s metal arm was working and able to take hold of the woman, supporting her lazy weight now that she was calmed.
Though the guard was still a little panicked about the woman’s attempted escape, Winter was unchanging though a little more agitated than normal with the disabling of his metal arm. He stepped passed the guard and all but dragged Alumina off to the medical lab. Had he not needed to be careful with the expecting mother, he probably would have simply tossed her upon the examination table.
Seeing the woman in her weakened state, the doctor simply shook his head, having not wanted anything in her system for the ultrasound but there was nothing he could have done in the event of her attempted escape. “Your babies are going to be just fine,” he told her in some aim to make her see them not so much as bad guys. Tugging up the her white gown to expose her stomach, he then poured on a generous amount of the ultrasound gel and placed the transducer into the gel. “We just need to see how our little soldiers are growing.”
