aiden just grinned listening to her infatuation with the writer. he just nodded in agreement because, no he hadn’t read it at all and he just wanted to impress them. “yeah, i understand.” he said with a laugh and set the book next to him. “i’m aiden.” and i love you already. ” and you are, beautiful?”
she kind of looked at him lovingly, giving him a full smile as she nodded her head. she didn't really think anyone would understand her love for the writer but she was proven wrong. but, his complement made her blush even more. no surprise. "ali. i'm ali. it's nice to meet you."
"Oh, thank you." he grinned, closing the cover and turning towards the other. “i’ve read it twice already, but i just—— i love shakespeare a lot.” he laughed with his free hand rubbing at the back of his neck because he thought he sounded sort of stupid.
she giggled a bit, playing with her hair as she plopped down in the chair beside him. she didn't think about personal space as much as others did. "shakespeare is amazing," she puts her hand over her heart and sighed happiness, "othello? gah! i could read it all day. my favorite, coriolanus -- don't get me started."

"i really like that book !!" she smiled innocently towards him, her face the color of a pink wine, "you must have great taste."
moving in was hard enough. he didn't realize all that would involved in moving. furniture, desks, beds --- even the little things like dishes and vases. he honestly didn't see the point of having all of that stuff. it's not like he was going to cook or have flowers or anything. but his mother insisted that he have it, so he took it. but now he was finally moved in and he decided to go to the store (by himself!!) and get groceries (still --- he didn't think he was going to cook. but he's an adult now!!) he was now to the point where he was taking all of his groceries to his new apartment. at once. he was convinced that all he needed was one trip. which wasn't smart because as soon as he got to his door he nearly fell to sit everything down. but now, couldn't find his keys. and just his luck, someone was standing just a few doors down and he didn't even want to look at him because he was embarrassed. so he just giggled nervously, "i swear i had my keys when i left." but guess what? he didn't. just perfect. and now, the person probably thought he was a total idiot.
" hey, hey what do you mean, ‘nonetheless a girl,’ are you trying to say that girls don’t read books ? wow, i’m offended ! ” she joked, a smile appearing upon her features, as she then took one of the readily available chairs and sat in front of him, peering over the book to try and see the text, after her failed attempt, victoria sat back down because wow — how embarrassing. “what’re you reading ? ” she pondered, playing with her hands as he spoke. his words made her uneasiness disappear, usually when she told people that, they’d automatically put their guard up and that led victoria to have hers up twenty four-seven. “yes ! that’s exactly how it is — also, here you go.” victoria pulled out a couple of books she had managed to grab on her way inside, she had no idea how she thought she’d be able to leave with them, but she needed to fess up beforehand.
at first he was about to defend himself, but seeing as she was laughing, he let out a couple chuckles and returned his gaze up to her. he just, honestly, never really talked to girls all that much. but that wouldn't be cool to tell her, wouldn't it? "o-oh, this?" he looked down at his book before dragging it under the table and blushing. it was silly, really, but it was one of his favorite books. "the damned highway. it's kind of ... monotonous. it's not a library book but ... if you're interested ---- " and he was going to allow her to bother it, but hell, he probably wasn't going to see her again. that's the way it worked, right? at least in his perspective. but then, when she handed him the book, he gave her a very amiable look, smirking lightly because that was like a sign of trust. "thanks," he softly said before coming up with something, he thought, was clever. and so, he giggled a small, "stay gold."

"i know, princess. i know." and he sighs because it sounded really pretty when she said daddy and he should probably be paying attention to his girl. "yes, you have." he then says before shutting his laptop and moving it off of his lap and then patting the empty spot there. "come on, kitten."
she pouts even more so, putting her hands on her knees and sitting up as straight as she could. her head kind of tilts to the side just before he shuts his laptop, which is when she smiled over and sat herself carefully on his lap, wrapping her thin arms around his neck. "i love it when you call me kitten," she purrs and giggles, "but daddy, i mostly love when you give me attention."

”yes, of course, that sounds lovely!” because considering it was enough. “i do promise, yes. if they think you are weird then that is their problem, not yours. i do not think it will happen, but if it does, i will take care of it, yes? please do not worry.”
her lips just form into a nice smile, her eyes narrowing into rainbows because she was nearly equivalent to a cat, honestly, "you're so sweet! i trust you. are your friends from spain, too? are they all as handsome as you? i don't know if i can handle that."
* victoria.
” i’ve never actually met someone who’s shared so many of the same book infatuations as i do, and it’s pretty wicked. yeah, absolute classic. oh. — oh no, you’ve got it all wrong. it’s not that i don’t want to work here, it’s — well, i’m sort of a kleptomaniac and it’s gotten me kicked out of plenty of jobs before.”
" me either. nonetheless a girl, either. it's really nice to know that there are still die-hard book readers in the world. especially ones with book taste," he blushes and moves his gaze down at the book he was reading beforehand, smiling effortlessly before looking back up with sad eyes, a tiny grin still at play because how couldn't he? this was something he understood firsthand, "oh no. that's awful. i'm sorry. that's not really something you can control, either, is it? i understand the feeling."
* ray.
ray couldn’t help but chuckle to himself. “darling, i’ll pay attention to you as soon as i’m done. promise.”
"but daddy --- " and she didn't mean to whine, per se, but it sort of came to that along with a gentle doe eyes as she sat there on the floor on her legs. you could almost see the invisible cat ears, that's how smitten she was being, "you said that an hour ago. i've been good."

”then if you do not wish to go, you do not have to go. i would like it if you would at least consider it, though. but of course they will like you. i only befriend nice people. i do not know why they wouldn’t enjoy your company!”
"i'll consider it just for you, 'kay? --- you promise? thank you, andrés, that's very sweet of you to say. some people might not think so, though. what if they think i'm ..... weird?"
can someone please give me an i’m in love with my step-sibling au where they’re sneaking around with each other when their parents aren’t looking but have to have “cover” boyfriends/girlfriends with jealousy and lots of “you better quiet down, you don’t want your daddy to hear.” (◕‿◕✿)
"honey, did you need something? because daddy’s sort of busy right now.”
"how could you be busy with this adorable face in your company?"
”if i asked you to go on a road trip with my best friends and i, would you? please remember that it would only be for a few days and i would love it if you could come.”
"i don't know. i'm don't really do well with being away from home for too long. plus, they might not like me."
" freak the mighty was literally one of my favorite books ever ?? the ending was so horrible i think it was the first time my heart ever got broken, honestly !! i’d love to work at a library but i’ve got a little issue that kinda prevents that from happening.”
" really ?? i totally agree, but it was perfect for the story so i don't get too upset. issue? it's not hard work. it's an amazing job, really. i don't think there's anything that could get in the way."
