it was an anomaly to jocelyn why richard had decided to turn up on opening night; the male couldn’t even make it for the finale, he had never come to any opening night and his presence had just about sent her over the edge. they weren’t healthy for each other and she felt like by engaging in their interaction that she had sabotaged herself in more ways than one. the woman ALWAYS went back to him, no matter the situation or consequences and this made her feel disappointed in herself. as she threw her pages around in a temper, she caught a glimpse of a young female entering her office. “WHAT?” the older woman couldn’t help but snap. everything felt wrong because of richard; he had thrown her off guard and it was more than noticeable.

Dottie had been told to report to Jocelyn, and the twenty-one-year-old was excited. She had been warned that her idol wasn’t exactly the easiest person to get along with. Never meet your heroes. “I’m sorry to disturb you, ma’am, I was told to report to your office as soon as I got in. I got your a coffee,” she said with a kind smile. Sure she was brownnosing a bit, but she was willing to do whatever she needed to get ahead.
