Drop2 Voicings - How to Understand The Construction
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxTdnBn7ljQ&list=PLWYuNvZPqqcFsxcEv8Gh1iM1zvkQoqcFc&index=12&t=0sÂ
Drop Voicings like Drop 2 and Drop 3 are very common in Jazz, and as a Jazz guitarist, you want to know and use them in your comping and chord melody arrangements. Especially Drop 2 voicings are very common in the playing of Wes Montgomery, George Benson, and many others.Â
In this video, I am going to break down how these terms work and how to construct drop voicings so that you have a better understanding of the voicing technique and can create your own drop voicings.

15 Minor II V I - Beautiful Jazz Chords You Need To Know
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NExMwhsd3CA&list=PLWYuNvZPqqcHYyZp5sT0k3Zx8MSWfDXHd&index=9&t=0sÂ
Having good Jazz Chords for a minor II V I can be difficult. This progression is much more complicated than it’s Major counterpart.  At the same time, it is a really beautiful progression with the rich tonic minor chords and altered dominants.
In this video, I am going to go over 15 sets of jazz chords for a minor II V I in D minor, and there are some solid ideas to take over with the extensions, the melodies and also some inner-voice movement that sounds fantastic on this progression.

Herbie Hancock - This is What Modal Jazz Really isÂ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kXTlccb3jc&list=PLWYuNvZPqqcHXjRtviFxLYVWsjrucoxLm&index=4&t=0s
When You think about Modal Jazz then usually you think about playing on one chord or vamp using the same sound all the time. That is not how Herbie Hancock approaches it in this solo on the Wayne Shorter song Witchhunt off the Speak No Evil album. This Herbie Hancock Lesson breaks down a lot of great surprising rhythms and melodies, moving in and out of the tonality, and adding some Atonal Chromatic ideas as well.Â
To me, this is one of the greatest Herbie Solos I know, and also a fantastic example of how to play medium swing and play a great example.
