Varyn could not care less for the tragic fate that befell the Velaryon boy. If anything, his passing only annoyed him and added to the stress brewing prior to his idiotic demise. -- He scoffed, as he walked past the 'grieving' crowd, and once he set eyes upon Lady Dayne, not the wife one, the other one -- he lifted a cup to his smirking lip. "Well, well...look at what the cat dragged in."
"Lord Lannister, ever so much a charming pleasure to be greeted with, especially on a morning such as this ," the heir of House Dayne retorted sarcastically in her usual composed manner, a serene smile playing on her lips. A little too serene that would immediately spell danger to those that knew her best. However the hedonistic Lannister did not know her best, in fact, he barely knew her, which worked to her advantage. In one very swift move, she closed the small space between them, held his arm in an iron-vice-like grip and pressed a tiny dagger against the crotch of his pants. "Fight back or run, and I promise you that you'll never sleep easy again for the rest of your short life," she spoke very quietly as her she bored her gaze of deadly intent into his eyes. " And trust me when I say this, I always uphold my promises."
She then let go of him abruptly. "I have business to settle with you, Varyn Lannister and we shall do it in the training yard. Now," she demanded, her voice hard with a menacing undertone, her gaze as intense as ever.

ASLIHAN MALBORA as LEYLA in UÇ KURUS episode 10
When Cedric was arranged to wed someone he very much wasn't pleased at all. This was something that had triggered but despite it he decided to go along with his father's wishes. His father kept telling him this was for the best for both him and their family. And yet he couldn't seem to agree to that. Though the one good thing he supposed was that she was beautiful. He could hardly take his eyes off her and he could certainly see himself being close with her enjoying with her. But then again he wasn't left with much of an option or anything in that matter. Which was why no matter how reluctant he was to this he found himself agreeing to the arrangement and even to meet her here today.
But things would have gone rather much smoothly if she would actually show up. But it seemed his so called betrothed had other ideas. She was a no show when he had arrived but he still decided to wait. And so wait was he did it again and again until finally he had lost his patience. Anger burned through him from humiliation. He had seen how everyone else was looking at him. Humiliation of being stood up by someone who clearly had no interest in him. She wasn't that far away from him but for the most part she was busy dancing and sampling food for herself. Then he saw a piece of food had made his way towards her. His left eye twitched from anger as he heard her words. "Do not worry my lady , I am not one to jump to conclusions. Though it seems it's best I leave you to your devices. You clearly wish to spend your time in other ways and I do not want to hinder you. " He responded to her with a tight smile and a curtsy. Though he could still hear people's whispers about them and their eyes on them.
It was only after his little speech, did Caria's eyes widened in realization of two things; one, that this was Cedric Lannister and two, she had completely forgotten that she was supposed to be meeting with him tonight. They had met once before, many years ago, but there had hardly been much of an exchange between them before both got pulled away by their respective friends. He had now grown older and even more handsome. Her heart did a little girlish skip in awe of his highly attractive looks.
Though she had and was still refusing to marry under orders from someone else, she'd only follow orders from her heart, Caria still eventually agreed to meet with him at least once. To sate her curiosity on what Cedric was like and if by any miracle, her parents had finally chosen someone that she could actually fall for. Thus, she had meant to eventually meet with Cedric after she had joined some dances. But then she had gotten distracted by the food and then carried away with her idea of stealing some food away for the poor.
His current words and micro expressions signaled that he was feeling very slighted and was seemingly no longer wanting to get to know her and that made Caria feel alarmed and a bit of remorse. She had no intention of humiliating him or hurting him. Unless of course, he turned out to be someone that truly deserved it but for now, he had been nothing but courteous.
"Oh, Lord Lannister, please don't leave just yet! My sincerest apologies, but I had truly meant to meet with you tonight! I just got distracted with this," she motioned towards the two sacks of food at her feet. She hurriedly closed the distance between them and lowered her voice from whoever was watching the pair. "I'm trying to get some food out for the impoverished and I could very much use some help. Please won't you help me just for a bit? "she beseeched. Though now that there were eyes on what she was doing, she still didn't care and left it up for the nobles to assume whatever they wanted of her. Mayhaps they would think her a terrible glutton and wanting to hoard food and wolf down on them in private but for some strange reason, she didn't want Cedric to get the wrong first impression of her. " We could also get to know each other whilst doing charity," she attempted a pleading smile.
Mourning meant little to men with agenda's and swords, she'd come to learn. And though she had hidden behind the veil of that word for many nights now, time was unraveling beneath her with less of it to grasp as she made her appearance within the grandness of festivities. She holds her tongue, as so often a Lady might have done as the Lord in question berates her for information, the slur of wine wasted and woven through his features. Inappropriate, let alone for a discussion of the nature to be approached to with a Hightower woman-- newly widowed last season. Her alliance with the Targaryens should be wary enough to the man, but wine turns people into fools, she'd thought. A moment passes, and he's proclaimed prophecy of his eldest son, who he inherently insist she's caught the eye of. A fine man, she'd thought- had his father not been a drunk. Needless, a diamond was a rare jewel, worth locking away. Wasn't she? There's a moments passing, when she then catches the glimpse of an approaching savior, as only in that fleeting opportunity, does Alara politely bow to the Lord in question. "Excuse me." She eyes her rescue, and lets out a silent and slightly hushed breath of relief. "You mustn't pity me." It's a halfway laugh, her gaze pinpointing them sideways as the smile corners softly at her mouth. "Nor him, I am afraid wine turns even the sweetest grapes sour."
Caria giggled as the eager but seemingly virile young lord Vance whispered yet another naughty innuendo into her ear. Truly entertained by the attractive and roguish man, she then teased him back wickedly, causing him to pull her into his arms, making the vixen bit back a squeal of delight. Ah yes, the ever-impulsive Hightower lady was yet up to another scandalous mischief, her addiction to thrill-seeking exploits making her throw caution to the wind once more. Pushing him into a nearby alcove so as to hid the both of them from view momentarily and feeling his hands caressing down her sides, Caria was just about to join both of their hungry lips together, when out of a corner of her eye, she suddenly caught sight of an all-too-familiar visage out in the open courtyard. As she placed a finger to the surprised Lord Vance's lips, her brows then furrowed together as she started to study the interaction between the much older Lord Beesbury.
When it quickly became apparent that her sister was suffering from the loud and drunkenly aggravating man, Caria immediately took action. She sincerely apologized to the confused Lord Vance before swiftly making her way over to Alara and her unwanted companion. "Alara!" she called out as loudly as she could. "There you are! I've been looking all over for you!" A lie to be sure, and one that made Caria burn internally with shame. She should have been looking out for her sister this evening. She had intended to and had seen to her when the festivities had started but then eventually the gaiety of the night's events had called out to her, pulling her away and then distracting her from her sisterly duties. And then the dashing Lord Vance had swept her away and in her moment of sensual excitement, she had temporarily forgotten about her poor younger sister.
The moment Caria was able to link arms with her beloved sister, the older Hightower was filled with great remorse. "Oh how could I not? I wrongfully left you to fend off the potential threat of the wolves by yourself. I had promised to return by your side after a few dances but then I got carried away by entertaining distractions. My dearest sister, I'm very truly sorry!" she apologized sorrowfully, her tone filled to the brim with shame and regret. A thought suddenly struck her." OH,OH, please do tell me he hasn't harmed you in any way??" she bit her lip worriedly as Caria then halted in her steps and began to fretfully look at Alara all over, searching for any telltale signs of dishonorable acts.

"EMIR!!" came the unapologetically loud yell of the ever-unpredictable Hightower lady as she stormed into her brother's chambers bright and early in the morning. In her current state of high annoyance, Caria cared not whit if he was still asleep or pre-occupied with something else. "Did you know of this??... Or did you actually also have a hand in it? Because I swear to the Seven, if you in any way at all, had anything to do with this matter, you're in a great world of pain," she stormed, her eyes flashing with genuine threat.
open starter. location: Halls of the Red Keep
"I have been put in a time-out." he states, sitting on the stairs leading up to a ridiculous number of bedchambers, bathrooms, libraries, and what seemed to be an endless maze of rooms that served no purpose. Red Keep was an architectural marvel, and there were times he understood why so many lost their lives to keep it, to gain it, to own it. As a child, running around its many halls and its cold walls felt like a dream. But children grow out of childish wonders, and reality sets in and one begins to see a cage for what it really is. Tonight, the only thing Varyn could find within these walls to offer even an atom of comfort, was memories he had left behind, all those years ago. And comfort was what he needed, as he searched for a moment of solitude to clear his drunken mind. "My family fears all the wine might cause me to say something unbecoming of a Lord." a scoff. "Now that would be something, wouldn't it? I - myself - fear these festivities are in desperate need of a bit of scandal -- all this tension in the air with not a single incident is making for a rather dull affair." he takes another sip of the wine and then looks at the other as if seeing them for the first time. "Oh, forgive me, am I in your way?"
Though she honestly thought that the Red Keep greatly paled in comparison to one of the greatest man-made wonders of the known world, that was the Hightower, it was still not without its charms. It had been many years since she had traversed through its halls and thus, it was a pleasant journey of making herself re-aquainted again with the intriguing historic home of the silver-haired Dragons who had been witness to dozens of historic and legendary events.
However it wasn't long before the adventurous Hightower found her solo-exploration cut short when she chanced upon an extremely familair face, apparently lamenting aloud to no one in particular over his miserable fate. She crossed her arms and leaned jauntily against a wall with a growing grin as she listened with great humor at what Varyn was complaining about.
"You are indeed," Caria replied with an oh-so-wide grin, knowing that now with Varyn around, her evening was going to get even more exhilarating. "But seeing as you're my favourite Lannister by far, I can easily forgive this setback in my plans," she grinned, her eyes beginning to sparkle with her infamous look of mischief. Considering that she was now betrothed to Cedric, it would hardly be wise to call Varyn her favourite Lannister, but seeing as she had yet to properly get to know Cedric, it wasn't exactly untrue at present time.
"You may be in a time-out, but since when does Varyn Lannister does exactly as he is told? Why are you sitting so obediently by your lonesome self, singing out your woes when you could be engaging your time with something far more interesting? Or has your time in Dorne somehow tamed you and miraculously made you an absolute gentleman of honour?" she gasped in mock horror and incredibility, a hand clasped to her chest for dramatic effect.

ASLIHAN MALBORA & ALI GOZUSIRIN as Ayda & Ibo / Her Yerde Sen, episode 18
@prideofcasterlyrock
Where: The Great Hall
Event: The Celebratory Ball
It didn't sit right with Caria at all that there was multiple lavish feasts in a row during a time where the citizens of Westeros were just trying to recover from a long winter. In her opinion, was utterly vulgar to show opulence such as this when the most of the smallfolk were still suffering from the lingering effects of the decade-long winter. For the second time since arriving, Caria, who never once gave a single thought towards the politics of the realm, wondered if it might be better for the Velaryons to take over the reigns.
Deciding not to just be a passive participant in this injustice of wealth, Caria thus decided that whilst she would still revel in the merriment of it, for it was incredibly hard for the party-girl in her to refuse the joy of dancing and music, her compassionate heart would also try to do something to help the less fortunate.
Hence for the next half an hour or so, the crafty Hightower, was dedicating herself to stealthily purloin as many delicious food as she could into two moderate sized-sacks. As she reached for a tantalizing glazed ham, a small pudding accidentally spilled out from one of her almost fit-to-bursting sacks and rolled its way to rest at the feet of a lord she hadn't realized had been watching her for a bit now. She whirled around and Caria's cheeks flushed slightly as she returned the gaze of the other, knowing how she must look right now. She giggled a little before grinning. "Let's not jump to hasty conclusions, but I swear, as much as I love food, I'm no glutton and all of these isn't for me."
Status: Open Location: The Red Keep, Gardens
Jaenara Velaryon felt sick to her stomach the moment she arrived at the Red Keep. But, like the rest of her family, she was able to put on a face and act as if she wouldn't burn the entire castle down if given the opportunity. She dressed in one of her finest dresses, ensured her hair was styled in the latest fashion, and she'd allowed the leadership of Westeros to swallow her whole.
The welcoming feast in the gardens was beautiful, if not extremely garish in the face of a nation beset by suffering. Jaenara was amongst the first to wander into the area, having slipped away from her infuriatingly cloying parents, wanting to get a better understanding of what all they'd be in for during the festivities.
She moved about the central table, almost on fire with all of the candles lit, her fingers brushing along the tops of the chairs. Her gaze snapped to the right when she heard movement, a practiced smile appearing on her face.
"You startled me, I didn't see you there," she greeted with a laugh. "It's nice to see the effort put in before the crowd leaves it a mess at the end of the night. Isn't it beautiful out here?"
"You should be more aware of your surroundings, Lady Velaryon," Rhys replied back in a brusque manner, not bothering about what decorum might dictate, which would have been to apologize for surprising the other. It had been a long time since he had ever apologized for anything and he wasn't going to start now especially when it was highly unintentional. "Especially for a Velaryon when entering the lair of the dragons."
"Hmmm, beautiful but completely tone-deaf I would say. Nauseatingly tasteless considering what everyone has just been through especially for the smallfolk of King's Landing." he stated bluntly. Rhys didn't exactly hold a soft heart nowadays, rather a more selfish one, thus the suffering endured by others whom he wasn't acquainted with wasn't something he was losing sleep over. Nevertheless, the gaunt and bitter faces that came to his view when his carriage made its way to the Red Keep was enough to pierce though even the coldest of hearts such as his.
where: the garden feast
the lady lannister makes her way through the castle, rushing through the halls to make it to the gardens where the welcoming feast is being held. she had forgotten a necklace, something gifted to her many years ago by her mother, and she just needed to be wearing it. even if it meant strolling in late. even if it meant catching a glare from the queen herself. surely vaelora could save her from the queen's ire. making her way out to the gardens, she hurries to her seat. she turns to the person next to her with a gentle smile. "i didn't miss anything, did i? no speeches or anything, right?" she's slightly out of breath.
Caria was already starting to grow restless, bored and extremely famished. She wanted nothing more than to tuck in to the sumptuous feast that was laid out before her but instead the Hightower found herself subjected to two intolerably long and tedious speeches before being caught by an eager but almost-octogenarian suitor. Thankfully being blessed with a quick wit, she eventually managed to divert his attention by sending him off on a wild goose chase to fetch her a non-existent delicacy. Heaving out a sigh of relief, Caria was just about to grab a morsel of food when a breathless voice chimes in at her side. Ignoring the other for a moment, the Hightower lady expertly plucks off a chicken leg and bites into its succulent flesh before starting to chew and answer, manners be damned. She was so hungry she couldn't care less if her mother was staring at her right now with a death glare.
"Well--you did miss two terribly important speeches I'm afraid," she stated with sympathy in her tone, instantly deciding it would be fun to mess around with the flustered woman for a bit. "And the Queen had commanded for each family to stand up and introduce themselves to the crowd, soooo, there was an awfully awkward pause when your family members realized that you were missing from their ranks. On the bright side however, at least you are now someone that's caught the attention of her Grace," she beamed impishly, waving her chicken leg around for emphasis. "She won't be forgetting you in a hurry I'm sure."

gods, the ride here was a long one. sure, telessa is used to travel but what she isn't used to? the heat. it is why she hardly ever travels so far south, but this is the royal wedding. it would be... unbecoming for her not to show face, even despite much of the realm knowing of her past history with the groom. how humiliating, she thought to herself when her parents told her she must attend. and now it's because she is so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she manages to crash right into another. the lady stumbles back, catching herself on a nearby wall. "oh wow, my deepest apologies," the words rush out. hesitantly, she makes her way closer to ensure that they are okay. "i didn't hurt you or anything, did i?" she questions sincerely.
It had been a year and a half now since her darling babe died within her womb, but every once in a while, Alaeria still felt the grief like it was just yesterday. Today was the anniversary of the day when she had estimated that she had conceived her child and thus it was no wonder that the Queen was washed over with a great piercing sadness. Silently wiping away tears that had misted her eyes, she failed to see an incoming person and as a result collided into the other nobleborn, causing the petite brunette to stagger clumsily backwards before falling on her bottom.
"Owww..." came the small moan of pain, as she delicately placed a hand on her hip, whilst wincing hard. She looked up at the blonde who had approached and mustered up a reassuring smile all whilst still feeling the stinging pain. "No, it's fine. It's a bit painful at the moment, but it'll pass. Thankfully it wasn't a bad fall and to be fair, I myself wasn't really focused on where I was going, so it's also my fault, I apologize. Could you help me get up, please? It's quite painful to rise up by myself at the moment and it'll look terribly undignified for me to be sitting on the floor," she smiled a little self-consciously
