Whenever I see some anon asking an artist if it's "okay to take inspiration" from their art it makes me want to make some kind of manifesto or billboard or PSA or skywriting campaign to undo whatever damage strange litigious illustrator types inflicted upon the most basic foundations of the creative process. We can't let them get away with this

like, they will listen to AI music, or watch an AI movie or video, and like it...

How? Why?

I saw people on the wow forums saying they enjoyed listening to some ai music. or enjoy watching AI stuff of their favourite fantasy game or film (like, the World of Warcraft ones I will always ignore and blacklist off my recs on youtube)

One person said they felt "conflicted" about AI music.

Gee, I wonder why someone would feel conflicted about something that's not made by a human, and is basically a product of other people's work! Y'know, STOLEN ART.

I really think we should stop saying "kid-friendly" and start saying "ad-friendly". We shouldn't indulge these companies and their excuses anymore. I also think that continuing to pretend that this is about "protecting the children" pushes a lot of the blame onto kids and teens, who don't have the political power to push through any of this censorship legislature. Corporations and governments are to blame.
