tatsumi aesthetic 1/?
green // black
i’ll try to be back soon
Snow day! Like for a starter~
my eyes are squinting but I just wanna give a huge shout out to all the commuters out there stay safe on the road/tracks,,, drivers, public transportationers, everyone
☼ uh… i fell asleep?
( awkward. she sure hopes this stranger doesn’t think she’s goofing around. )
“Nah It’s fine. Wait a sec.”
She didn’t have her school supplies on her, but she does have a Sharpie in her pocket (because of that barista life). Not thinking much about it, she rolls up her jacket sleeve and writes ‘y squared = x cubed” on her left forearm, not wanting to bother the other girl for a piece of paper. She then hands the Sharpie over, and begins her explanation.
“Okay, well to start off solving this, you need to take the derivative of each side of the equation.”
Tatsumi would totally get a tattoo of the integral symbol
“Karasuno…”
Junko stared rather blankly at her former team mate, like the words were a foreign language she didn’t understand. A curt nod followed before she responded.
“Their girls’ team isn’t that remarkable. Are you still involved in volleyball even if you can’t play…?”
Tatsumi, having been a part of both sides, smiles dimly at the comment, unsure of how to phrase her answer. She hoped that her optimistic politeness didn’t come off as fake, although it was that ‘optimistic politeness’ that twisted her views.
“Hey don’t say it like that. Isn’t it just that Niiyama set up a really high standard?
“But yeah! I manage the girls’ volleyball team. It’s really, really hard not to be involved with something you love!”
He raised an eyebrow in surprise when the girl noticed soon enough to avoid being hit by the ball– and slightly annoyed when it came flying back to him. He stepped out of the as it went flying past him, a soft sigh escaping.
❛ Yeah. Sorry. ❜
“Don’t worry about it! You didn’t do it purposely.”
She eyeballs the height of the male, and whistles lightly, stuffing her hands back in her pockets.
“You sure got a lot of height there actually! What position do you play?”
That is, assuming that he played volleyball, but there was good ‘evidence’ that supported her theory - and it had just flew back and forth between them.
🌸 — ❝Ah, battle of the trash heap.❝
It came out automatically from the smaller girl’s mouth, she was so used to hearing it though, to her it sounded a bit cool. She always ended up doodling in her sketch books of cats && crows fighting one another thanks to the title. When she thought about the practice matches && how the two teams acted towards one another they seemed more like allies than rivals, but then again- that was off court.
🌸 — ❝Yes, in a way. Though rivals, they seem to get along quite well. They actually seem some what similar in personality for some members. Though, that’s probably more a good thing than anything.❝
She bowed to the taller female before introducing herself.
🌸 — ❝My name is Rin Chiharu, it’s nice to meet you. You said you were visiting your mother, right? Is she well?❝
Her small comment throws off the new Karasuno student, who had never heard that strange phrase before. Was that how they liked to refer to their rivalry? What a strange name. She recalls some funny videos she had watched online of crows picking fights with cats, so she imagines that that has something to do with it,
“Probably! Though I don’t know much about the uh, culture? of the boys’ volleyball team.”
Not really into formalities herself, Tatsumi briefly nods her head towards the girl, a bit embarrassed to be bowed to.
“Ah, I’m Kita Tatsumi, nice to meet you Rin-chan!”
She let out a large laugh at the question, even though the question wasn’t particularly funny and her answer wouldn’t be humorous either. It was probably because the idea of her mother being sick was a strange concept to her, since she was such a hard worker. She regains her composure after a moment and begins her response by waving her hand back and forth.
“My mom’s perfectly fine, don’t worry about it! She lives in Tokyo so I’m dropping by to say hello to her and everyone~. Although to be honest, I’m stalling because she has a really bratty daughter and I’d rather not deal with her!"
“It is! I’m not the ace or anything though– I focus on defence.”
Someone who played the same position as her… that did not make this any easier. Feelings of competitiveness started to rise in her, not only from speaking to a former member of Niiyama, but also for their shared volleyball positions.
“Thanks– We’re still not on the same level as the boys’ team but that’s not a problem. We’re not going to let that stop us from trying our best!” Smiling came so easily to Yuuka and often she would miss the subtle details in other people’s expressions since she was usually the overexcited one. However, for a change, Yuuka was much calmer and it allowed her to pick up on those details she otherwise would have missed… like how the other had completely avoided her question about why she was no longer on Niiyama’s team. It must have been a sensitive subject and understandably so.
“It’s been a good year, actually! Training harder than ever! I can’t really speak for the rest of the team but… I really want to make it a challenge for Niiyama this year!”
Despite her excitement, a tinge of jealousy arises within the roseate, which changes her tone from overly enthusiastic to something akin to admiration in her attempt to discard such negativity quickly. A strange nostalgia washes over her at the other’s determination, strange because Tatsumi was never in her position before. Rather, the nostalgia stems from the fact that she would really would have liked to play against her.
“Ah really?! I took a very offensive approach to it, but offensively or defensively, it’s arguably the best position!! I’m biased though~.”
Tatsumi hasn’t felt this strongly in a long time, although she will mentally deny it. She let out a hearty laugh after her response, and flashed the Shiratorizawa student a thumbs up.
"Hearing that is really getting me hyped up for some reason! I’m sure you’ll be able to do it! It’d be an amazing match~.”
what goes UP
must come DOWN.
i changed my theme and i think its so pretty
ok im done w screwing myself over for tmrw be back wednesday !!
… what smiling face?
“I appreciate the sentiment.” Even if it’s probably sarcasm. “Where did you even end up?”
“Aw Yukimura-chan you’re too much, you know I mean it~. I’m in Karasuno now actually! Surprise!”
