What my muse would say to the person trying to woo your muse.
âYou picked a good one. Iâd be careful though. Sheâs one who can take care of herself. She isnât one to put on the shelf.â
A letter my muse would write to yours.
Dear Kara,
I never open up. To anyone. You donât understand, I didnât even open up to my squad members back at war. So, if it takes me a while, then you have to understand, itâs not you. I donât open up to anyone. Let alone someone who doesnât deserve to have something like that on their mind.

âžË ・⌠â â â ( cold water ! ) â ft. cora and thomas â
â WEEKS had gone by since cora had first met DETECTIVE DAWSON and not a day had gone by that she did not bother the daylight out of the man. be it with her ( NEVER FAILING ) texts/phone calls, occasional stops by the station with a snack - knowing damn well that he more often than not skipped his breaks - or the ( at first ) coincidental run in at the gym. she couldnât help herself, he struck her as the type that needed someone to prove that good people still existed. so she took it upon herself to try and get closer to the officer. RUNNING her hands through her honey blonde locks, coraâs oceanic hues flickered around the small dock by the lake at the park she was at - legs dangling at the edge of the dock as she tilted her head gently. the sun was still out, proving to caress her skin kindly - wind skimming through her dirty golden waves as she inhaled a slow breath, moving her hands from behind her and towards her thighs, picking up her phone and slowly fumbling with it in her hands.
@dcttomdawson
Thomas had been working as hard as he could, working case after case and closing each of them. He tried to ignore the constant beeping at his phone, and a deputy coming by with a snack for him over and over again. He knew she was only trying to help, but he wasnât the kind of person that could be, or so he thought. He tried to handle it, tried to just understand why she wanted to see him and help him. He was just going for a quick swim at the lake, when he saw her. He sighed, before moving to sit beside her on the dock. âCora.â
Thomas raised his fists, his stance squared and ready for her to swing first.
Thomas looked at her as she muttered a lie, nodding. âYeah, of course ye are,â he said, looking at the paramedic as he walked toward them. He nodded, beginning to back away from her. âBesides you, everyone is fine,â he said, before continuing. âI have to let this medic take care of you, alright?â
He shook his head, standing with his arms crossed as the paramedic asked her a series of questions, if she could walk, whether or not she was dizzy. Thomas stood to the right of the man, as another medic pulled out a gurney to lay her on in the ambulance. The chaos was certainly alarming to some, and he knew she was scared, even if she didnât show it.
âIn this hot weather? Letâs go.â
Thomas raised a brow as the girl started stripping, looking away out of politeness as he began to walk farther down the shore.
Thomas rolled his eyes with a smile, chuckling. âWhatever helps you sleep at night, lad,â he laughed. âAlright, letâs go,â he said, starting to run at a moderate pace.

Thomas kept looking over her entirety, trying to see if there was any other major injuries. It looked like there was some  definite injury to her back, considering the way she flinched when she reached for her phone in the other seat. âHey, hey, just take it easy, okay? Itâs not a good idea to move a lot right now, help is on the way,â he announced, just as soon as he heard sirens from the ambulance.
He looked back down at her, biting his lip and shaking his head at the condition of her car. there was no real way of telling her gently that her car was nearly totaled. âA large white truck ran into you, and they are fine. It wasnât your fault,â he assured her. He shook his head as she tried to sit up, slowly and gently putting his hand on the front of her shoulder and sitting her back.
Thomas let out a breath, chuckling a little. âI nearly fought you,â he said, walking over to his best friend. âRunning before you go to work? Iâll come with.â
