42. Hardest Game - Punch out, Super Punch out, Kid Chameleon, Metal Gear Solid VR missions....all are a toss up

Worst Video Game - there are so many bad games that you threw away after the first 10 min, or that had bad ending, or that were not good by todays standards......so hard to pick one.  I hated Burger Time, and I never could get into Donkey Kong Country or Little Big Planet

And so many good classics....that you probably never played.  Castlevania 1 and 2, Mario 1 thru 3, Zelda 1 thru 3, Contra, Techmo Bowl,  JOhn Madden and Hockey vintage 1997.  I could go on and on

- I keep a pretty good crew of algae eaters and I control the amount and type of light into the tank

- I like to look at azalea fish store, but the prices are no good

- I like to buy from pet smart, most bang for the buck and anything that dies I get free replacements

The Dance of the Amoebas! I caught these two well defined amoebas battling it out in my filter water. Enjoy the show. x1600 magnification.

Fun with microscope. I decided to clean my filters this weekend and to look at some samples of filter water under my new toy. Please let me know if you can identify this mystery creature. This was at 400x magnification. It was really scary looking at x1600 but wouldn't fit on the screen at that size.

So I got a new microscope and am trying my hand at capturing fun microscope images. Here is what I have so far. Obviously the first one as labeled...banana cross section. This is the peel. After that we have: 1. Celery @ 1600x (see the chloroplasts) 2 & 3 - Cheek scrape cells @ 1000x 4 - Cheek scrape cells @ 400x 5 - Fly eye @ 160x (used image stacking technique for focus) 6 - Moth wing @ 160x (also used image stacking) 7 - Strange mystery finding in a green onion cross section @ 400x 8 - Membrane between onion layers @ 160x 9 - Membrane between onion layers @ 400x

Describe your idea of a perfect date.

Really depends on if first date or a subsequent date.

First date - Something simple… going out to dinner is always a great way to find out more about somebody (I always spend more time talking than eating anyways) and in addition, hey food is awesome. As long as we’re talking hypothetical, I’d prefer to go for Bubble Tea. At my favorite restaurant, Ten Ren Tea.

Any other date - I’d like to make a nice dinner at my house (lasagna comes to mind!) then go out for the evening. Going to the movie theatre works but, again as long as this is supposed to be perfect, going to a concert like Ellie Goulding or Vanessa Carlton would be a great closer for the evening.

I am a big believer in activities: First date - nice dinner (preferably P.F. Changs or the Local Hibachi Grill and sushi, followed by some billiards or bowling. Follow up date - Day trip to the mountains or the beach. Bonus points if she is willing to do some fishing. :)

Ignore the fact that I am using my cell phone to take a picture while driving. But I had to capture this sunset on the way home. Imagine for a moment that you are an alien from another planet, who has only experience a blue sky or a dark sky. It would be quite awe inspiring, or scary.

So my Betta has finrot… it’s hard when you do everything right (or at least it seems to be right) and your fish still get sick. So I set up the quarantine tank, treated with some Triple Sulfa, and now we’ll begin the 5 day regimen. Should be good in no time!

I have a theory that the billions of galaxies that surround us are really just small particles in an exponentially larger world. Possibly that the particles we study are glimpses into a smaller universe. Given our size in the Milky way, and how small we are, it would be near impossible for the bigger world to detect us, and the same for us detecting civilizations in our particles. The first image is the first-ever picture of a hydrogen atom, with its electron cloud. This image was produced using a quantum microscope. Remarkably similar to the Ring Galaxy pictured on the right. The image on the bottom left is particle tracking from a beam fired into a particle using an accelerator. Also strangely similar to the spiral galaxy shown on the right. There are a lot of arguments against this theory, the main one being that the force that keeps electrons circling around a nucleus is electromagnetic energy, while the stars that spin around the center of the galaxy is gravitational pull which is not related to electromagnetic energy. My argument is to no so hastily dismiss this as a possibility. Our knowledge of physics is very limited to this planet and this universe. When entertaining the idea of existence, there are many unanswered questions, and the physics of other universes may vary wildly compared to our notions. In any case, its fun to think about!
