it was your birthday, and you weren’t having the best time. you were cradling a drink. you weren’t sure which one this was. you had stopped counting. you were completely drunk. you weren’t the type of drunk to get up and dance, you were just standing away from everyone.

someone bought out a cake, and everyone sang happy birthday to you. you smiled and made a wish, blowing out the candles.

an hour later you were still sitting around, after denying your friends trying to get you to come dance. you were too drunk. you missed your boyfriend, and it almost made you wanna cry that he couldn’t be here.

you took another sip of your drink, and suddenly you felt a hand on your shoulder. you flinched a little, looking to see who it is.

“amari?!” you said, smiling wide.

“what’s up, pretty..?” he said, tucking your hair behind your ear.

you got up to hug him. “i can’t believe you came,” you said into his shoulder.

“you crying?” he laughed awkwardly.

“sorry, i’m just super drunk,” you smiled at him “i’m so happy you’re here” you sniffled.

he caressed the back of your head. “i gotchu something.” he said, pulling away and giving you a gift bag.

you guys sit back down, and you start to open it. it was a small box, it looked super expensive.

you opened it slowly. it was a van cleef necklace. your jaw dropped, it was definitely real.

“amari, these are so expensive i… thank you.” you said. this necklace was worth like 4 shifts at your waitress job.

“it’s nothing, happy birthday bae.” he smiled.

you put it back, moving to sit on your boyfriends lap. “thank you so much. i love it, amari..” you say, resting your head onto his shoulder.

he wraps his arms around you. you start to fall asleep on his shoulder. “you tryna go home?” he smiled. “yeah…” you slurred.

summary: at summer smash, you sneak away to hang out with nett

warnings: reader is kind of intoxicated

hollis' set had ended a while ago, and you had snuck away from him and roman afterwards. you were standing and watching as gunner was doing some interview, you were drunk, and a little bit high. the interview finished and you followed him into his trailer. he sat down, pulling you down to sit next to him. you laughed, wrapping your arms around him.

you could still hear loud music from the festival going on, but you weren’t paying attention to what it was at all. he kissed you, but it didnt just feel lustful this time. there was something there, and it made you a little sick. theres no way he felt the same way, you had thought.

“can we go on the ferris wheel?” you asked, smiling at him. “lets go,” he replied.

you guys walked to the ferris wheel together, gunner occasionally running into a friend and dapping them up. you both got on, facing eachother. bladee and yung lean were performing, and you both sang along. when you got near the top, you kissed him. you made out for a while, and he pulled away to watch when they started doing a song he liked.

you both sat quietly while watching the performance. when you got back down, you both got out. that was like the best 15 minutes of your life. your brain was cloudy. you two were walking when you heard an obnoxious voice yell your name. you froze, it was romans' voice.

“oh my fucking god…” you said, annoyed. you turned around to hollis and roman walking over. gunner was laughing, and you hit his shoulder. “don’t just run off without telling me, y/n.” hollis said, obviously annoyed.

“my bad,” you muttered, rolling your eyes. “why haven't you taken off that scary ass makeup yet?” you laughed at him. gunner was standing to the side smiling, not wanting to get involved in this. hollis glanced at gunner and looked back at you.

“are you drunk?” hollis asked. you shrugged. you totally were. “okay well, we need to get to the hotel.” hollis said and you nodded. you waved goodbye to gunner, mouthing an ‘ill text you’.

a week later…

gunner let you into the studio, a beat playing loudly from the speakers. you smiled at him. “what’s that?” he looked at the box you were carrying. “i bought cookies.” you said, setting them down on the desk.

“thanks, ma” he said, pulling you into a hug. the intimacy didn’t feel awkward or weird like it did with other guys. he pulled away, looking you up and down. “you look sexy…” he muttered, you pushed him playfully. “oh, really?” you asked.

“yeah” he sat down, gesturing to you to sit on the chair next to him. “whatchu been up to?” he asked.

“i’ve just been sitting around now that the school year is over.” you said, leaning back in the chair.

“i forgot you go to college and shit” he said, messing around with the track. “i can’t just be a nepo baby chud for the rest of my life.” you said. he laughed. “that’s true.” he replied.

he stopped to grab a joint. “wanna smoke?” he asked, smirking at you. “of course i do…” you said.

you two passed it around until you felt more relaxed, melting into the chair. you both conversated, laughing with each other.

he interrupted the conversation, gesturing you to sit with him. “cmere…” he said. you got up, walking over to straddle his lap.
