{ Some more of my calligraphy practice feat. my shitty cursive skills }
{ I haven't updated in a while so here's an example of my terrible cursive butchering a classic haiku by Matsuo Basho }
"So about that dinner date I'm going to ask you for..." ... *wink~*
However, if you even TRY to kiss me without asking again… I will not hesitate to flip you over a table and break your spine.

kitsunes?
{ Kitsunes are the messengers of the goddess inari!
They’re also very mischievous and like to mess with people, quite often.
They can transform, and forms they usually take are of beautiful women or really old men, or a specific person they’ve seen. Sometimes, though, in these forms they can befriend humans and even be lovers or wives. (A common occurrence is for animals to take the forms of humans to live among them)
Other powers a kitsune may have is possession, mouths/tails that generate fire or lightning, manifesting in dreams, creating strong illusions. Sometimes they’re portrayed as very sexually connected with humans.
Foxes are regarded as being widely spiritual and very close to humans. The more tails a fox has, the older and wiser it is. There’s a tail for every hundred years.
To specify: There are zenko (good foxes) and yako (mischievous foxes).
When it transforms, a kitsune’s ‘life force’ is held in a hoshi no tama, which is usually depicted as a jewel or a ball. Usually people try to steal it to gain a favor from the fox. }
Can you tell me the story about the Sun and Moon?
{ I’m gonna assume you mean Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu and go from there
Tsukuyomi is the moon god and Amaterasu is the sun god. They are brother and sister, both born from Izanami after his wife Izanagi had died (both are considered the creators of the world), and later Tsukuyomi took Amaterasu as his wife.
Tsukuyomi angered Amaterasu by killing the goddess of food when she presented food to him in a disgusting manner. From then on, the angered Amaterasu refused to ever look at her husband again and moved to another part of the sky, making the differences between day and night. }
What can you tell me about Kappa?
{ Kappa have a varying meaning. Sometimes they’re an omen of danger in a river, sometimes they are the danger in the river and drag people down.
‘Kappa’ translates literally to ‘river child’, and they likely came from sightings of the Giant Japanese Salamander.
They’re certainly tricksters, with behavior varying from looking up womens’ kimonos to kidnapping children.
But at the same time, they’re curious of humans! They speak and understand Japanese and sometimes try to befriend humans in return for offerings of food. Cucumbers are the only food they seem to enjoy more than human children, and cucumbers in Japanese culture are largely associated with kappa.
Humans befriended by kappa often have help getting their farms irrigated, and offerings of fish from them are considered good luck. They are also unable to break an oath that they’ve sworn, so they also can easily be tricked. }
{ guys send me questions about japanese culture and mythology and i’ll answer them!!
