So many people from WITHIN THE LGBT COMMUNITY are denying her transfem identity because they "just don't see it" or "it can be interpreted however you want" or because they are projecting onto her. I've seen so many OTHER TRANS PEOPLE say stuff like "well I relate to jax so I feel like he shares my identity" as if that matters at all.

Like I'm sorry trans women aren't relatable enough for you. I'm sorry women aren't interesting to you. I'm sorry you have internalized misogyny /transmisogyny.

Gooseworx shouldn't have to beat you over the head with a stick that says "jax is a trans woman" to make you see what's right in front of you. Gooseworx left it vague as a NARRATIVE DECISION, not because there's any doubt. Kick rocks.

the digicircuis finale is frustrating for a lot of reasons but mostly im upset that in a show where everything else is said out loud in therapyspeak all the time, Jax's transness stayed ambiguous. Yes, there's lots of proof for those with eyes. Yes, she's wearing the dress in her mind. Yes, "isn't she lovely" plays. Yes, she wears a bow. but she never says it out loud and that's enough to give the braindead half of this fanbase plausible deniability.

Like, I somewhat understand wanting to do this from a storytelling perspective, but god, in the context of the rest of the show... It just feels so cowardly. do you understand how big it would have been? to have a beloved character in one of the most popular cartoons in the world come out as a transgender woman? to have this happen in movie theaters?

how is this show going to be remembered in five years? in ten?

I'm soooo late to the mid offs hype but I'm watching Jumper's win and the differences between her and Couriway's videos are hilarious. On hers she's like "I trained for 1000 years like a shounen protagonist, Couriway is my sensei and his wisdom is unmatched" and then I watch Couri's pov and he's like "I have never made worse calls in my life, I was lying to Jumper constantly, I need to be put down like a sick dog"

I hate this genre of post so much. Why are we moralizing enjoying art. "Consuming media" oh you mean reading a book? Listening to music? Watching a movie???? There's just no nuance. Reading and analyzing Ulysses is consuming media therefore unaware and loser behavior.

And a lot of tags on that post said "buying clothes" as a non-media piece, which is really funny! You are still "consuming" someone else's art!
