This Jilco commission is like warm sunshine on my face.

The amazing Faune (Twitter/Bluesky) has created such a sweet and soft moment in her comforting style.

I imagined moments like this in my fics. Moments of domestic tranquility between the angst and chaos.

Just a man who loved reading and brat who loved her gadgets.

And loved each other. 💣🦈

Silco waking up in a cold sweat and having to walk all the way to Jinxs room just to make sure she hasn't left him.

He finds her sleeping and crawls into bed next to her, carefully wrapping his arms around her and pressing his nose into her hair to reassure himself that she is still here with him.

And similarly, Jinx routinely breaks into Silcos room to slide into his bed. She always tries to wrap herself around him, legs and arms intertwined, with her face pressed into his back or chest.

And neither of them say anything, but they are constantly shifting from one bedroom to the other as they both fear the other leaving and never coming back.

Definitely will delete this as soon as I wake up but it’s a shame that the rise in censorship and fandom puritanism happened when it did because there’s over four times as many fucking Billdip fics on AO3 than Jilco Arcane and I’m not saying jack shit but one of those ships is a lot more interesting with canonical tension and a whole slew of psychological issues to go with but everyone wanted bizarre yaoi back in the 2010s and now we’re here. There are TEN THOUSAND Hermione/Snape fics (I just fact checked this I am not pulling these numbers out of preexisting knowledge let’s all be clear I haven’t touched that fandom since 2019) can we redirect some of that shit elsewhere. I don’t even frequent the extra-morally-dubious ships, that’s not even my hill to die on, and yet I see the niche we are missing. C’mon people!
