I started to think about how being selfish is you doing what you want where there's some sort of harm or consequence to the other. Like I wanted to be a bully to someone where it was selfish of me since it harmed the one being bullied. This goes to catch and release fishing. I wanted to catch some fish while the fish got injured with a hook. A company is selfish in that it looks at not losing profit when keeping high fat salt or sugar meals. They could make them healthier but are worried about losing customers. Car tires are also selfish in that they pollute the entire planet with there wear spreading around the whole planet and getting into the ocean water. We don't know the full details of how much harm these microplastics are causing but it would be more selfless to choose not to drive and even more selfless to push for all rail no car cities. Communism is a more selfless system that fixes and improves on the selfish capitalist harms we have today. Making the world more selfless by design means that people are less largescale selfish in the ordinary choices that they make.
