Yeah the only real hope for a third party in 2029 is going to be if the whole country gets ranked voting. It would take more than four years, maybe even more than a human lifetime, for any other party to amass the amount of power the Republicans and Democrats have. They've been in control for most of the country's existence. Most voters are actually happy with one of those two.

They also have enough power to effortlessly ruin any up and coming competition. Nobody even TRIES these days. There is no independent candidate running in this election whose name is even known to the general public.
