“Your ‘jokes’ would drive me to insanity.”
“And watch your mouth, sunshine.”
“I assumed you were already were insane, my bad. And make me. I’ll say whatever I want, when I want, sunshine.”
“We’re in an asylum, miss lady. Everyone’s twisted and everyone needs to shut up. But when it becomes a social standard, everyone needs to defy it, right?”
“Well I’m twisted in the sense I have dark humor. I laughed when the girl fell down the stairwell last week. I may have pushed her. There’s no evidence and she’s a bitch.”
“I’m so glad I’m not stuck in a ward with you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean, puta?”
God, please do. This place is fucking ridiculous.
I’m hoping it’ll get at least one season.
June laughed and shook her head. “That’s funny.”
“Someone’s gotta make light of this shit situation.”
Watson gave her a small smile. “I-its okay. Just migraines and voices. Th-thanks though.”
Daria took a breath and rolaxed. She needed a moment to try and calm her anger. After a few minutes, she smiled and ran her hand through her hair. “Maybe those doctors are right, maybe I need to have my prescription increased, huh?”
Clovers smile brightened a bit. And she gathered enough energy to give a wave.
Daria came over and sat with the other girl. “You look tired,” Daria said, putting her feet up.
“I spent the entire day in isolation. I beat up a guard for threatening to sexually assault me.”
Oh no, of course not. [Chuckles] Your ward is probably more entertaining than mine is, that’s for sure.
Let’s just if I ever get out this dump, I’m gonna make a sitcom about it.
“Absolutely adorable.”
“Uh, thanks. Usually I get told I’m twisted and to shut up.”
“S-sorry.” He stuttered and winced, looking down. “Just a bad day.”
Guilt flooded Daria. Because of her condition, emotions never just happened. They took over. Thoughts were like tidal waves. Everything was a trigger. “I’m so sorry. Fuck me, I’m so stupid.” She apologized. She then got worried that maybe someone had caused this bad day. “Did someone hurt you? Who was mean you?” Her paces fastened. her blood boiled as her face turned red. “I’ll kick their ass!” She declared.
Watson glances up from his book as the pun was made, looking at the girl.
Daria threw herself next to Watson and smiled back at him. “What, am I not funny anymore?”
Clover looked up from the chair she was curled up on and gave the girl a small crooked smile.
“Home girl up here knows it,” Daria called out, pointing at Clover.
Oh, is that what you call it?
Yeah. Got a problem?
“Ward B in the best, to be honest.” Daria declared, as she ambled down the halls. “I mean we’ve got so much personality.”
Oops, sorry didn’t mean to fall on you. I should probably work on not being clumsy.
Are you trying to put the moves on me? I can’t wait to tell Watson you’re leaving him for me.
“Hence the sarcasm that was dripping from my tone. Just when i thought you might be alright, you show me you’re an idiot.”
“I understand sarcasm. I don’t see my how my response indicated that I don’t, but whatever. Sorry I wanted to share that it was the best of my life? A lot of people think it was getting into Harvard. If anything, that day is my least favorite.”
