    Her stage persona wasn’t entirely an act —- in fact, she tugged on her veil as if making sure it’d stay down.

             “I mean, uh, thanks for not takin’ it off…?               Had a couple of people do that before,               it’s not really fun…”

              “Goodness, have they really? Just taking it off like that is incredibly rude!” With her tone, it was clear she wasn’t at all concerned about what would happen to those who would do such an act, as much as she seemed to care about how snatching things from people in general was just a horrid show in manners, really. “Well, don’t you worry, you won’t have to fret about me doing something like that.” 

              “Such a lovely lady deserves to be treated with respect, you know.”

        For some reason, he hadn’t expected to receive a real answer from her; something about her demeanor had him doubt her intentions. So to hear her name what seemed to be an actual place, and to even reference an event that’d only occur there…? It was strangely refreshing. “Ah, I see.” He nodded his head silently, trying to repeat the French phrase in his mind but failing miserably. “I’d need your help knowing how that’s written or spoken, but I’ll definitely take it into account; it might come in handy for later.”

              “If you have something on hand to do so, I wouldn’t mind writing it down for you now, if you'd like. And if you do ever attended, who knows, perhaps fate will be kind and we’ll run into one another there. I’d imagine having around someone who knows the place would be rather useful.” If nothing else, it’d certainly prevent the possibility of getting lost, no? That would certainly put a damper on things she’d imagine. 

               With a small wave of her hand she brushed away the topic, “That's enough about me though, I hope you wouldn’t mind me asking a bit about yourself? Am I right to assume you’re from the area then?”

“M-My little Winter i-is the same, sh-she’s either r-running around and c-causing trouble or sh-she’s sleeping f-for hours s-straight. There’s n-no inbetween.” He gently squishes the small cat toy in held in his hand and tilts his head, “I r-read somewhere th-that if you play w-with th-them for a certain a-amount of t-time every day a-and give th-them stuff to do while y-you’re away they w-would have l-less energy to c-cause trouble. I don’t know why c-cats like to do that..” Odd little creatures, but adorable and a joy to have around nonetheless.

              “Causing trouble is simply in their nature of course. Though my best guess is that they haven’t quite forgotten how people used to worship them as gods, and are now lashing out as a form of gathering attention.” An amused laugh escaped her then, “Tiring them out... yes that does sound about right. I supposed they’re basically like children really in that regard. Though.. I suppose a mere child wouldn’t cause nearly as much damage to your unattended furniture.”
