started watching doctor doctor (1989) and yeah, anything that matt frewer touches from this era is peak. it's one of those shows that will never rerun or get a public release because of copyright (boo), but other than some 80s cultural references/aged-like-milk jokes, there's a surprisingly high amount of representation in this so far :]

GLaDOS is so invested in science you can call it her hobby. She's also arguably fond of music, having two songs performed by her.
Max Headroom likes golf.
Smith studies biology out of pure interest.
Monika writes poems and plays piano.
Turbo is a racer. He's programmed to be one, but outside of his game, he's doing it for fun (and to stroke his own ego).
Markus has shown that's he's keen on art, including painting, music and books.
Doesn't he like golf just as a sport to watch? I swear he mentioned his favorite golf player in one of the talk show episodes.
The Wii Sports idea sounds cool. That seems like the best option for him to play golf himself.
He could've also inherited his passion for golf from Carter. Which is kinda sad if you think about it. He doesn't know the memories of this are not his own.
he definitely canonically watches it and has favorite players, but he also claims on multiple occasions to have actually played and be actively practicing. which. again. physically impossible for him to do (unless the network has some kinda android body he can pilot around, which would be a fun au, but I think he’d never shut up about it if that were the case). And he owns a plethora of golf shoes, as seen when he gives one pair to Sting. Edison doesn’t strike me as a golf guy— not action-packed enough, too much patience required— but maybe he got dragged along once or twice before The Bonk and Max became obsessed entirely of his own accord. I think Max knows, logically, that he is a separate being now (kinda hard to not notice that you don’t have limbs anymore) but that he kinda identifies as like. Edison Carter 2.0: New And Improved.
