I first discovered Art in 2003. I decided to paint a canvas for my wife as a gift. The finished piece looked quite good and made a modern, sentimental addition to our home. Friends and family commented on my painting and soon I was producing small paintings as gifts, It was exciting for me to think people enjoyed having my paintings on their walls, then it struck me…art & being creative was now in my life, for ever!
I pondered the thought on taking my art work out there, at first this was a dream, to think people would actually want, let alone pay for my work would be fantastic, however, encouragement from my wife helped me to do just that.
I soon developed a portfolio by taking photos of my work in different situations I plucked up the courage and began to knock on doors of cafes, bars, peoples houses, hotels & art galleries.
That was then, this is now… I now have to-date sold & commissioned over four hundred works of my Abstract Art, and have had five, self promoted solo exhibitions.
Being self taught has allowed me to be truly creative in developing my style and I am now working on digital photography also, which allows me to be creative on the fly!
I don't have any rules, slightly rebellious when it comes to style or technique.
I live a sometimes hectic, busy life which I seem to present in my work.
Music is fundamental in my painting time - from house to drum & bass to classical, chilled & jazz - and I play it loud!
I am now working from my home - studio in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, I currently provide my work to house builders, interior designers, private buyers throughout the U.K.
