More Voy/SM crossover things - KJ's magical advisor

KJ of course needs her own Mau advisor like her 20th century senshi counterparts. @deannalaurend drew me this cutie while we were brainstorming crossover things today 🥰

Adiona is the roman goddess of returning travelers, which seems pretty fitting as a name for a magical advisor of Captain KJ.

Adiona is a plucky, earnest young Mau cat who's the first Mau in a few hundred years to be advising a magical girl. They idolize the Lunar advisors Luna and Artemis given that they trained such fantastic senshi, and theyre very earnest to do just as good a job advising KJ.

Unfortunately, poor Adiona is stuck with a senshi who'd rather chart a course all the way across the galaxy than spend one second contemplating being a protector of the Delta Quadrant. Adiona has to put up with her Captain drinking too much coffee, not getting enough sleep, and blowing off magical training in favor of pretty much anything else. Thus, Adiona resorts to knocking over KJs coffee when shes not listening to them and running away with her PADDs when shes trying to work a double shift. Adiona and Chakotay are the only two on the ship immune to the Janeway death glare, so they end up being fabulous friends (he sneaks them sweets).

In addition to training a reluctant magical captain in how to use her cosmic powers and conspiring with the first officer to make sure KJ gets food and sleep, Adiona also admires the hell out of Lt. Torres and has an enduring crush on Ensign Kim.

They've got their work cut out for them training KJ to embrace her magical destiny. It's a good thing theyve got 70,000 light years to do it

Here’s the thing, I completely understand why people are upset Elsa x Honeymaren didn’t happen. But to the people who are saying ‘Show Yourself’ was originally meant to be between Elsa and her love interest- I don’t agree. Or rather, I agree, but not that it was supposed to be Honeymaren.

‘Show Yourself’ is about Elsa and her love interest- Elsa is her own love interest. ‘Show Yourself’ is about Elsa learning to love herself.

And I just kind of think it cheapens things to say they changed it last minute, or that it would’ve been better if it had been between Elsa and a female love interest.

Let Elsa love herself! Let loving yourself be enough!

You know what??? I'm gonna say it, because someone has to.

The MCU fucked up by deleting that scene.

And no, it's not because of what that scene did for Tony Stark (although that was great too rip dad ly3000) It's because of what that scene did for Clint Barton.

Let back track a bit here. What was the last weighted thing Clint ever said to Tony?

"Better watch your back with this guy, chances are he's gonna break it"

That's it. That was the last exchange between the two, before everything went to shit, the avengers broke up, half the world disappeared, and Clint began training to become an irl terminator. Those five years when the remaining five slowly forgave each other, built their trust in each other again from the ground up, Clint wasn't anywhere around. As far as we, the audience, are concerned, Clint still hated Tony (and the others who were on his side in CW), and that remained until the very end of phase 3.

Maybe they made up off screen, when he was back at the compound. Maybe, if I question the Russos, they'll assure me I'm 100% wrong and they did, actually, have a teary heart-to-heart ending with a hug or smthn (because, ofc, that's the most in-character thing to do)

But we didn't get to see it.

And that's what made all the difference.

This scene, though? We see Clint kneel first. The others kneeled because they saw him doing it, and decided that they ought to do it themselves.

But Clint? He kneeled of his own accord. Because the father in him, the husband in him, almost instantly recognised the massive sacrifice Tony made.

The hero in him recognising a fallen soldier.

That's his big moment of forgiveness, of guilt, of understanding. It's when we see a whole seven years' worth of anger slip away. Seven years of character development finally evidenced in that one second. Not quite as a friend mourning a friend, no.

But one Avenger mourning the loss of another.

That was the moment that Tony and Clint, just for a brief second, weren't merely on the same side of the war. They were on the same team.

That was the moment Clint Barton was at his most human.

And they cut it.

consider: avengers teenager AU except they’re still superheroes

so fury decides to recruit all these 17-year-olds cause “gotta start them young” (but mostly to give natasha a group of friends because they rescued her from the red room and have been recuperating her for the past year)

so like yeah nat has been out of the red room for a year — steve maybe used to be little but he saw that the world had all this injustice and villains and wanted to fight against it so this scientist offered to use this serum on him to make him super and he agrees. bucky becomes like his defacto sidekick because he’s not gonna let steve fight villains on his own, but at one point he gets kidnapped and experimented on by hydra and they make him a supersoldier and give him a metal arm. bucky isnt with them for long because steve saves him, but he gets some Trauma and also now he’s a supersoldier so fury recruits both of them

clint is just, like, rlly rlly good at archery

(maybe peter parker is there too??)

bonus points if tony stark is still an adult and he’s the one recruited to watch them

OH and + bruce which is pretty much the same backstory except he was a child genius and turned himself into the hulk by accident at 16

OR bruce is the other Adult and he and tony have to deal with hormonal teenagers with super abilities
