Writing in a little notebook about how he’s better to Dean than John, better for Dean, what does their dad have that sam doesn’t? Sam’s smart, he loves Dean, he’s nice to Dean, he’s closer to him in age, Dean should notice him! Not their crusty old dad who leaves him all the time. Nice guy sam oedipus complex Sam, Sam who dates guys and takes notes and thinks about them being Dean. Sam who starts fights with John thinking he’s fighting over who gets Dean. sam talks in a philosophy class about the inherent eroticism of blood relationships and the entire room is silent for like forty-five seconds after he's finished.

dean hits on two girls in a bar and asks them if they'd be down for a threesome. they share an awkward look and tell him they're actually sisters. dean is like "?? that does not answer the question?? i assume yes??"

one of sam's friends starts complaining about their brother and how glad they are to get some space from how controlling he is in college, and sam interjects like "but he was probably trying his best, so..." and the entire group rolls their eyes bc they forgot they can't talk about siblings in front of sam.

dean goes over and comforts the brother of the victim first instead of the wife while posing as a grief counsellor on a hunt, and the brother says something like, "oh [wife's name] is taking it really hard" and dean says, "yeah but i'm talking about YOU. your life is OVER now."

sam is passing a bottle of vodka around a ring of people at a party playing never have i ever, and the statement "i've never owned a skin mag" comes up, and when sam drinks, he has to admit fondly--already more drunk than he should be--"oh yeah, my big brother got me a full frontal for my sixteenth birthday. he was so smug and kept ragging on me every time he washed my clothes and there were stains in the boxers." and the entire group shuffles six inches away from him.
