i'm in the midst of doing something that i thought was a good idea in the past, only to do it and really regret it. my mum just texted me to say 'To do it & realise it's the wrong thing is better than not doing it at all' and i thought maybe other people needed to hear that too.

i have pretty terrible bouts of anxiety from time to time, and happen to be having one literally right now. when i find myself struggling with anticipatory anxiety very often i hear a little margaret hale in my head saying 'the future must be met, however stern and iron it may be' and somehow that makes me feel better.

also i sometimes have susan pevensie saying 'let us go on and take the adventure that shall fall to us'. if she can be gentle then so can i.

i like that in the TOBS interviews all three of them are so Mary with their reactions to compliments. the interviewer will compliment literally anything and they'll all be like, oh... well... well- thanks - yeah that's... wow... erm that's yeah that's so kind of you but no.... it was nothing to do with me really but yeah... thanks
