*Well, there is a door here.
It seems... odd. It doesn't have a handle, but seems like it'll open on its own when some kind of condition has been met. There's no note on it, but upon closer inspection, it appears to be the kind of automatic doors seen on subway trains. Though there is a window on it, the area beyond it is completely dark and impossible to discern.
The sound of people can be heard when near the door... as if the other side is connected to some sort of public area... perhaps a train station?*
It takes Pes some time to remember what an automatic door is. By that point, they'd been standing in front of it for quite some time. They try to wave under the sensor, or where they think the sensor should be.
The door slides open, and a stranger walks out. He looks a little confused, and a bit hazy around the edges, just a little. He glances at Pes, and tilts his head.
"Ah, excuse me? Would you happen to know where I am? I... do not think this is part of the forest I was in."
"Before I tell you, I'm… required to inform you that my name is Pes Simiae…" Pes's hair floats and flows strangely as they talk, as if an unnatural wind is blowing exclusively for them. "As for where you are… this place is known as ‘OSHA’ by those on its grounds…" They take a long swig from their travel cup.
"I see, thank you for informing me. I am Warden Ingo of the Pearl Clan." He pauses for a moment, tilting his head. "May I ask why you are required to inform me of your name? You do not have to answer if you do not want to or are unable to, of course."
"It is a… consequence of messing with… powers beyond my understanding…" They give him a tired smile before taking another swig.
"Ah, I see." He nods, politely. "Yes, that tends to cause unexpected results. It happens more often than I had expected, it seems."
"This place is… disproportionately affected by… circumstances such as that…" They take another swig. "Outside of these grounds… not so much…" With a slightly twisted smile, they continue. "Spiders Georg… as the kids might say…"
"Ah yes, though I have heard it refered to as Ariados Georg." He nods, chuckling.
"A constant… across timelines, I suppose…" Their disposition warms as the slight twist in their smile fades.
"How else would we learn about outliers?" Ingo jokes, lightly.
Pes gives a faint giggle in response. "It is certainly a… very useful learning tool, for those who cannot otherwise grasp the concepts of statistics…"
