She laughed fully, so much so that the lines around her eyes and the corners of her mouth became visible, and her toasted skin practically glowed. “ That’s what I thought, ” she purred. As they talked and teased each other, she shuffled back so her hands could undo his jeans and pull them down just enough. They were pressed for time after all, and she hated to be interrupted mid-act. “ But I’m topping, this time. I want to… thank you properly for all this. ”

        “ well, y’ won’t be hearin’ any complaints from me, then. ”  he grinned that signature mischievous grin of his and gave her hips a little squeeze.  “ less work for me. ”  he chuckled as his hands ventured up higher, eventually moving from her body to grab her face instead and pull her down for a quick kiss.

“ Am I going too fast for you? ” Her palm smoothed down his front, stopping at his navel and going back up again. “ You told me not to fall asleep. Now I’m wide awake. Buuuuuuuut, if you’re not feeling up for it, then I guess I’ll just… ” Slowly, she began to slip one leg up and away from him. “ Get off of you and… watch some TV….. ”

       “ oi! ”  the moment she started moving her leg off of him, he was reaching out to pull it back down.  “ now, now. don’t go puttin’ words in my mouth. ”  he had a sly smirk on his face, holding her in place.  “ you stay right here. ”

She didn’t waste time, that’s for sure. After half a minute at the most, she was kneeling up (awkwardly because she didn’t want to stop kissing him) and using her hands to undo the few buttons left on his shirt. Koshka only pulled away to basically rip it open when she got to the last one and take in the sight of his bared front. Without bothering to pull off her dress, she removed her undies, tossed them aside, and sat on top of him, always grinning.

       “ jesus christ, girl. ”  he laughed as she sat on top of him, still dressed besides the undergarments that were now tossed aside.  “ just a few seconds ago you were dozin’ off. ”  not that he was complaining. his hands settled on her hips and he was grinning right back up at her.  “ now you’re tearin’ up my clothes. ”

She didn’t respond to his teasing, too eager to go back to kissing him, practically laying herself on top of him with an arm snaking around the back of his shoulders. He smelled of sea salt and sweat, a perfume almost as intoxicating as the medicine she took. Definitely better, though.

      it was hilarious to him how much more eager she could be compared to him when it came to their more intimate moments. he was just that good, apparently. always served to inflate his ego. the kiss was anything but soft as well since, clearly, neither of them were just here for simple pecks. it was deep and passionate, though he always held back just a touch to have her craving more.

“ You wouldn’t save me even a slice? ” She inquired in feigned indignation. “ And you call me an ass. ” Sighing through her nose, she got herself up on her elbows before she could really fall asleep (and risk losing her dinner) and leaned over to reach his lips with her own in a lingering, relaxed kiss. “ What do you suggest we do with the 42 minutes we have left, then? ” The smirking and glint of expectation in her eyes indicated she already knew the answer.

       “ i think you already got a plan in mind given the smirk on your face. ”  he smirked right back, though he’d had that look on his face since the kiss she’d just given him.  “ c’mere. ”  it was all he said before reaching up and putting his hand on the back of her head before gently bringing her back down for a kiss.

“ Still makes me laugh to this day. Especially because I was naked too, even if I was at least covered by the sheets. ” She snorted, cracking her eyes open a slit when he laid down beside her. The subtle gesture made her look that much more feline due to the cat pupil contacts she insisted on wearing for the Aesthetic. “ Breakfast. Sure. ” Her eyes closed again as she smirked. “ I won’t, worry not. ”

      “ y’ better not ‘cause if you leave m’ to eat this dinner all alone, you’re an ass. ”  he joked, reaching over to brush back some of her hair.  “ an’ i’ll just eat all the pizza myself. ”  with that, he grinned wide enough to show his imperfect teeth and even let out another chuckle.  “ you still got that bath to take too. ”

“ Mhm, ” she muttered lazily to both sentences. Her eyes were closed, her cheek resting on her crossed arms and her braided hair tossed to one side mindlessly. Left to her own devices and her brain dazed by the medicine, she was sure to doze off before dinner even arrived, but she would rather stay awake. “ Remember that one time, ” she started off quietly. “ I think it was our first time actually, when we ordered breakfast from the hotel the next morning, and you answered the door without bothering getting dressed? ”

       “ that’s what happens when you have no shame. ”  he laughed, leaning back to so he could lie down with her.  “ but, aye, i remember. that was a good breakfast -- ”  he made no mention of the night before though, if only to tease her some more. when he took a better look at her, he could tell how comfortable she looked.  “ don’t you go sleepin’ before dinner even gets here. ”

In retrospect, perhaps it was a good thing that she decided to take her medical weed at the time she did. Hopefully, it would placate her reaction for what she was in for, during dinner. But she had no clue about Zach’s plan, so she smoked away calmly and enjoyed the sight of the beach and the Aegean, painted orange and pink from the sunset, stretching out as far as the eye could see. It was peaceful, beautiful, worthy of the many philosophers and poets who lived and died in these lands. 

For a minute… Koshka regretted having to go back the next day. What she wouldn’t give to stay here in this dream and never have to wake up from it. Once she had enough of the marijuana and the pre-return sorrow, she got back in the room and dropped belly down on the bed behind her lover.

       the mattress of the bed bounced a bit in reaction to her dropping on top of it, which only made him laugh. he put the remote down on the bed beside him and turned to look at her.  “ hope you’re cozy, then. ”  he teased, now focused on her rather than the television and whatever was playing on the channel he’d picked.  “ food should be here in forty-five minutes. ”

“ You go ahead and do that. ” She drew a lazy line down his exposed sternum before moving to her travel bag, tossed into the corner, searching for her small case of medical marijuana. “ I’m going to have a smoke in the balcony while you’re at it. Be back in a minute. ”

        he gave her a smirk before reaching out for the phone once she left to go grab her smokes and make way towards the balcony.  “ alright, go on then. ”  he playfully shooed her off as he dialed room service, setting an order for a pizza and making sure they had they box he left with them earlier so it could be brought up with their dinner. all that was missing was some champagne. or wine. ugh, he missed booze. once he was finished, he made way towards the bed to sit on the edge, flipping through the channels on the large television while waiting for koshka to return.

“ Maybe. Maybe it’s you. ” She gave him a look over and bit on her bottom lip, like she was picturing him on their nice big bed in nothing but his skin. When he pushed the menu towards her, she smirked and pushed it back towards him without looking. “ I already know what I want, ” she told him. “ I’m feeling like having some pizza. ”

       her answer to what to have for dinner got a smile out of him that was for sure. he brought the menu closer to him, putting it back in the spot it’d originally been in, and glanced back to her once more.  “ a woman after my own heart. ”  he chuckled.  “ i’ll ring room service an’ they’ll be up in an hour or so. ”

If only he could stay on his best behavior like, all the time. If Koshka had a reaction to that intrusive thought, her face did not betray it. She continued to smile as she walked into the room and took off her sandals before searching for the menu. “ It’s kind of early, but I could eat right now. I don’t want to go to bed late tonight and I would like to go in the big tub one last time. ”

     “ runnin’ around those ruins gave y’ an appetite, eh? ”  he teased, pushing the menu towards her. since they were in a pretty fancy hotel the food was still unique in the way that zach would never think to eat it if he were just looking for some comfort food. but, it wasn’t as fancy as some of the other stuff they’d been eating.  “ lemme know when you’re done lookin’. ”

“ Among other things, ” she added in light jesting. “ I know that. And I want you to know I appreciated your company during all those fancy dinners. Especially because they weren’t your thing. ” Back at the hotel, she let go of his hand and stood back just a step to give him space to open the door. “ How gallant of you. I’m impressed. ” 

       “ we’re on vacation, may as well be on my best behavior. ”  he tossed a smirk her way as he let her enter first. once they were both inside, he shut the door behind him and kicked off his shoes the first moment he was able.  “ should have a room service menu over on th’ desk by the phone. can look at it whenever you start gettin’ hungry an’ i’ll order some food. ”

“ Comfort food sounds ideal for our last day of vacation, ” she assured him. Not that she hadn’t enjoyed all that fancy food they’d had along the week, but after all, nothing could really beat the kind of meals that just reminded Koshka of home. Home… She missed that. She missed her flat, missed her dog and her cat, her plants, her city. Part of her could hardly wait to go back. The best part though, was realizing she had a home. And despite all the disgraces and disasters in their relationship, Zach was part of her home. Not that she would ever tell him that. “ Going back to work will help you with that, surely. ”

      “ aye. be too distracted dealin’ with the children i call agents to worry about booze, eh? ”  a joke that was actually sort of true given the whole... turning kids into weapons thing. besides the point.  “ ‘sides, fancy food is more your thing. i’m good with th’ simple things in life. ”  once they finally made it to the hotel and towards their door, zach pulled out the keycard from his pocket and opened it up.  “ ladies first. ”
