First rough Makeup practice for my Fawnlock cosplay.  I am going to be wearing it to Anime Boston. It will be designed so that my lower half looks like it’s part Faun and I’ll have to figure out something for my upper half, maybe a vest….being a not super skinny girl cosplaying a skinny mostly nude man is going to be hard….but I won’t let it stop me.

Do you have any favourite books?

Yet another good question.  I read a great deal for cases, and to increase my own intellect. But when it comes to reading for pleasure I would have to say...

I quite enjoy the book Lolita by Vladamir Nabakov. It offers a well written and interesting peek into the mind of a pedophile.  Being from his point of view it alters the traditional view of right or wrong.

I am also a fan of the work of one Jasper Fforde. His book Shades of Grey(not to be confused with 50 Shades of Grey, that book that John's girlfriend Sarah is so infatuated with.) Fforde's book features life in a distopian society. Always an interesting idea. 

There are also a few...other things...that I read purely for scientific purposes...

What are your pet peeves?

Good question.  

I don't like when people make my tea wrong. Black with two sugars...not brownish with three. And not decaf for God's sake. 

I hate it when John gets jealous of my other friends and hides them from me.

 And I hate, hate, HATE when people make me wear this ridiculous hat.

So I have returned from a very grueling case.  Nasty business involving the illegal ownership, and even more illegal feeding methods of several bears.  All sorted now though.  I'm at Mycroft's currently, he insisted much to my dismay.  I haven't seen John in months. Returning to 221B tommorow though and looking forward to accepting new cases.  Until then I'm going to be so BORED, although I may break into Mycroft's high security vault and mess things up a bit.  Evening. -SH
