Pokemon Black 2 Nuzlocke Challenge

Found You!

I trained loads underground with my rival healing me every step we went. It was nice to have my own 'white mage' of sorts to heal my pokemon so they wouldn't die in the sewers. It was during this intense training that Brooklyn evolved into a Tranquill. 

Then after I had enough, I trashed those dirty villans and bounced. See ya later sewers!

I'm on a Boat!

So after my ah-ma-zing victory, I took a boat ride to the next city. 

I did lots of exploring, battled people, got lost, healed tons. Then I got dragged around trying to find Team Plasma people since they can't leave me alone. 

However then me and my rival went down and dirty in the sewers where we would find those evil do-ers. It was there I met my latest party member:

Miser the Zubat 

Met in Castelia Sewers at lv. 16. Hasty nature, quick to flee. 

HP [42] ATK [21] DEF [17] SP. ATK [19] SP. DEF [20] SPD [29]

Inner Focus: The Pokemon is protected from flinching. 

Supersonic, Astonish, Bite, Wing Attack

Movies and Gyms

First I experienced first hand what's it like being a Pokemon Movie Star. However it's not earning me badges so after my first film, I became a one-hit wonder and vanished. 

Then after a nice training montage, I was ready to challenge the next gym with my party:

Deacon the Pignite, lv. 20

Brooklyn the Pidove lv. 19

Prowler the Patrat lv. 15

I totally demolished Roxie and made sure she could never sing again. She was a horrible singer. >_<

So my mother called me to nag for a while, met the next gym leader and realized she had a nagging parent too. So I guess that was pretty cool.

Then I went to catch my next pokemon and I was pretty glad that it was aPidove, because I love flying types and I was really tempted to just call her "Birdie" like I do in my other pokemon games, but instead opted to nickname this girly Brooklyn instead.

Here are some stats:

Brooklyn the Pidove

Timid nature, met at Virbank Complex. lv. 10. She is thoroughly cunning.

Ability: Big Pecks - Protects the Pokemon from Defense-lowering attacks.

HP [31], Attack [15], Defense [16], Sp. Attack [14], Sp. Defense [11], Speed [15]

Attacks: Gust, Growl, Leer

So while training my team, my beloved Prince (my Purrloin) got knocked out while I was training him.

RIP Prince [ lv. 3 - lv. 16 ]

I really was enjoying having that kitty in my team. Whenever he came out in battle I had the Prince song, "Kiss".

C Gear + Patrat

So after my gym battle, I got my C-Gear and went to the Pokemon Center where a guy shoved a bunch of medals in my arms. Why? I don't know. I fought a Hiker who was blocking my path and then caught a new pokemon to add to my team. 

Prowler the Patrat

Quirky nature, met on Route 20. lv. 10. He is thoroughly cunning.

Ability: Runaway - Enables a sure getaway from wild Pokemon.

HP [29], Attack [18], Defense [14], Sp. Attack [14], Sp. Defense [14], Speed [15]

Attacks: Tackle, Leer, Bite, and Bide.

First Gym Leader: Cheren

After Lady's death, I realized that I needed to really 'up my game'. So I did major training for all my pokemon to get them in tip top shape for the first gym. 

Here's my team:

Deacon the Tepig lv. 16

Prince the Purrloin lv. 16

I won the battle easily, Cheren was a pushover and Deacon evolved into Pignite.

So I added a new member to my roster, aLillipupwho I nicknamed "Lady". So here's some information about her!

Lady the Lillipup

Impish nature, met on Floccesy Ranch lv. 4. She likes to trash about

Ability: Vital Spirit- Prevents the Pokemon from falling asleep

HP [18], Attack [11], Defense [8], Sp. Attack [7], Sp. Defense [6], Speed [9]

The depressing thing about it though was that I managed to run into a Psyduck afterward which made me really sad. I would have loved having a Psyduck or just a non-normal type on my team.

What's even more depressing, she didn't really get to live for long. While training Lady, a Patrat viciously killed her. So I had to toss Lady in my RIP box in the PC.

I know it wasn't for very long, but I was starting to really like Lady.

I had my first rival fight with Kamui, I won without too much of a problem and then continued on with my journey.

Then I went on Route 19 and encountered my first pokemon, a Purrloin. Luckily after two tries I managed to capture the dark cat pokemon.

Here's some information about my new member!

Prince the Purrloin.

Rash nature, met on Route 19. lv. 3. He is strongly defiant.

Ability: Unburden - Raises speed if a held item is used.

HP [16], Attack [8], Defense [7], Sp. Attack [8], Sp. Defense [7], Speed [9]

I then got challenged by Kamui again and thrashed him.

I started up my Black 2 Pokemon game, the beginning was alright. I feel like it was dragged out a lot due to the "tutorial" the game forces you to go through. However let's focus on the game itself:

My character is a female who I named Ellipsi since there weren't enough character spaces for Ellipsis. Then I named my rival Kamui, the reason is because that's usually the name my boyfriend uses whenever he plays a video game. And since he was the one who gave me the game, I felt it was appropriate. 

Then it came to my starter. I picked out Tepig since during my White game I picked Snivy, so I'm following the rule of not picking the same starter as before.

Now here are some info about my Tepig!

Timid Nature, met at lv.5, likes to run.

HP [22], Attack [9], Defense [10], Sp. Attack [9], Sp. Defense [9], Speed [11]

Attacks: Tackle and Tail Whip

Oh my gosh! I finally got my Pokemon Black 2 game! This means that it's time to finally play and get this challenge started!

Rules of Nuzlocke

These are the rules that everyone in my group Nuzlocke will be following: 

1. Name/Nickname all of your pokemon.

2. Your Starter must be different than what you originally chose in the first Black and White games. 

3. Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead and must be thrown in the box. 4. A player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.

4a. You are however, allowed to catch a pokemon before you enter a dungeon for instance, if theres a forest on a route with some grass outside of it, your able to catch a pokemon outside of the forest and inside of it.  5. Shiny/Special pokemon/Legendary Clause: You're able to catch Shineys/Legends if you see it. (but your not able to use them in battles until Nuzlocke is completed) 6. Pokemon traded to the player by NPCs are okay.

7. NO Duplicates. For example. If you caught a previous species before on another route, your aloud to ignore it and the next pokemon you see on that route which is diffrent, you MUST catch.

7a. I will not follow this rule. 

8. You can use an Unlimited amount of pokemon centers and potions.  9. Tell Us about your adventures and how you love your pokemon and your sadness about losing them.

Introduction

Welcome to my blog,deathlocke, this is a group Nuzlocke challenge I'm doing with several friends of mine from college. We are all documenting our Nuzlocke play throughs of the latest pokemon games Black 2 & White 2. 

I'm starting not on the release date, but I will be starting after October 16th since that is when I'll have the game to play. So the death begins then.

I'll be playing this on my Black 2 version and have fondly named this Nuzlocke playthrough 'deathlocke' since I know lots of my pokemon are going to be dropping like flies. This is going to be my first time playing Black 2, so I will be pretty much unprepared for the challenges that will come my way and am not planning on reading any walkthroughs to prepare myself.
