So! As with last year, if you were working on something or had an idea and didn’t finish it in time, I’ll continue to reblog for as long as you make them! Tumblr’s notifications hopefully will keep alerting me to tags to the blog.

Okay, so! I'm considering running Deathship week sometime in June again. Here's my ideas for themes, but I'd happily take suggestions! If not, I might just knock it down to five days this time.

1: Masks/Costumes

5. Fan-content/Revisiting Old Work (basically: Either making something for someone else, or going back to an old piece that you still enjoy and promoting it again or, if it's old art, potentially remaking it.)

Deathshipping Week - Day 7!

Day 7 - Free (Yes, I took that as a literal prompt. When I gave my brain free reign, it came back with ‘no thoughts. brain empty.’ so here we are. ;P)

Length: a “long” one (1025ish), under the cut or here on A03 YM name-of-the-day: he doesn’t have one. :( Tags: Angst, hopeful ending tho, Big Feels, AU only insofar as this presumes they met and bonded during BC, post-cannon, Ryou POV and he’s not impressed with how things turned out, but he’s gonna fix it

Ryou scrubbed away angry tears as he scratched out another line. This was going to work. It had to. It was horrifically unfair that Malik’s other half should be doomed to an eternity in shadows when the other spirits had been given another chance. He’d done nothing worse than them. Arguably, he had been the best behaved of the lot, given his situation. Atem may have come a long way, but Ryou had heard the stories. He burned people just for the hell of it, in those early days. And Bakura may have had his reasons, but ending the whole world was excessive. And yet still they had been given the chance to grow, and change, and eventually to live again.

Malik’s other half hadn’t even had the chance to pick out a name.

Decided to make Ancient Egypt AU where Kek would make his like “Anime School Girl Bumps into their Future Crush” but like, when he was in the middle of killing some random guy, and Ryou was running away with some stolen goods. :3

An idle, meandering tune flittered around the room from his lips as Ryou worked. The sunlight was warm on his face as he arranged the tools and materials that he needed. Well, probably needed. It’s not like anyone was actually teaching him this stuff.

Deathshipping Week Day 6 - AU/Crossover

I only had time to make one picture for this year’s @deathshippingweek @ninjam117 and me did a little art trade for the AU day with our Hogwarts AU. @ninjam117 did the sketch and lineart for this picture (asdfsh look at all those little details) and I coloured it. In exchange they coloured one of my linearts.

Yes, I’m making the ‘aus are gold!’ joke again. Fight me.

AU day was kind of the hit last year- people had a lot of fun putting these characters in other scenarios, and enough were crossovers that I figured I’d might as well make it the other half of the theme! Have fun!
