i used to watch the original yugioh so much when i was 9-13, and i decided to rewatch it and it's so peak!! it's so good and bad at the same time i luv it...
my favorite part was animating/editing the characters into the show's backgrounds and coming up with a correlation to a part in the anime for every scene with the characters in the background! it only goes up to battle city since that's where i've rewatched up to so far
also imma make a post for context on the first battle city scene later, we all know weevil is cryin cuz he lost "his queen" but i think rex deserved at LEAST his rarest card back because espa roba literally cheated imma square up with mokuba for this blunder
I canāt believe that in order to tell a story I need to withhold certain information from the reader at first. Iām excited about it and I want them to know.

And then, he walked away. Ryouās hands balled into fists and his face grew hot. He stepped into the doorway and quietly shut the door, watching Malik walk into the kitchen from his place on the welcome mat.
āWhat if I want to argue, though? You never want to argue.ā
Malik scoffed. āAstute observation, detective.ā
Ryouās brow furrowed and his nose wrinkled at the comment. It sent him over the edge. Those werenāt words that came from someone who ādidnāt want to argue.ā
āCan you even hear yourself?ā Ryou asked, stomping into the kitchen. He didnāt like how relaxed Malik seemed to be as he preoccupied himself with looking in the fridge.
āCan you please respect me asking not to do this right now?ā Was Malikās response as his eyes scanned the contents of the fridge with no intention of pulling anything out of it.
Ryouās eye twitched. āNo, Malik,ā He shot back. āBecause if we donāt talk about this now, itās never going to come up again because you avoid everything thatās even remotely negative.ā
Ryou took a quick breath, making sure Malik wouldnāt interrupt what he wasnāt finished with.
āAnd you have no fucking idea how horrible you not wanting to talk about this looks to someone who is supposed to be helping the police department solve a crime.ā
While Ryouās face became red, and his hands shaky, Malik remained steadfast in his outwardly calm appearance.
The kitchen went silent. Malik straightened himself up, placing a hand on his lower back as he did so. His face twinged as if he were in pain, but it was only for a moment.
āWhat,ā Malik started, slow and steady, āexactly, are you implying?ā
āI think if youāre asking me that question,ā Ryou replied, āthen you already know what Iām implying.ā
