There is a poll on this article and 98% of the people who voted said they would NOT buy bitcoin... its sad to see the media controlling the way you feel about something, once again. The MtGox issues were very tragic but it doesn't change the fact that it WAS just a speed bump in the crypto currency world.

EDUCATE YOURSELF
I visited a forum today that i use to spend loads of time. Its a community full of information and intelligent people that I have learned a lot from. I noticed a few threads on crypto-currency topics. I was excited to read what people thought and obviously it was a hot topic with the recent negative news of MT.Gox. To my surprise i learned very quickly that most of the people involved in the topic had very vague information on what bitcoin is, how its mined, and what potential it has. Not to mention the negativity towards it. I was becoming pissed off reading what people had to say.
With that being said I'm working on a beginners guide to bitcoin and the crypto-currency world, which will be hosted on my main website (deathtofiat.com). This should help people get a better understanding!
The first post...
I have been wanting to start this blog for weeks now and finally have taken the initiative to write the inaugural 'first post.' This blog is going to be a gateway, per say, to my main site deathtofiat.com. Here (and there) i will be posting and re-posting articles on current events in the world of crypto-currency. BUT this is not going to be a BITCOIN only related blog. I will be posting about my personal financial investments, the music I've been listening to, the food I have been eating and the places I've been traveling to as well. I'm excited to finally get this little project off the ground!
The Bitcoin Market has been one hell of a roller coaster these last few weeks. Anybody who is actively involved in the bitcoin community knows about the fall of MT.Gox. If you believe in bitcoin then BELEIVE IN BITCOIN. This will not be the end, but rather a speed bump to the development of everyday use of bitcoin. We are still in the beginning stages of bringing crypto to the masses as a common currency. No matter if the news is positive or negative, at least people are becoming more aware. Lets keep looking at that glass half full.
