@deathwitchundone
I got fully drenched in a downpour while inspecting this little skeleton I found. Absolutely worth it though!
One of the coolest things I've found so far; a nearly complete skeleton of a small carnivore, I'm guessing a mustelid (marten or weasel maybe). beautifully intact with a still fully articulated spine!
It's been laying there undisturbed for a pretty long time and I covered it up with some leaves again after I left 🍂💀

Bone correspondences
A little while ago, I realized that there is NO info on what bones to use for what. I was clueless and had no idea where to begin. Research was fruitless and asking others came with no results.
So I sat down during preap algebra 2 and made my own list.
These are my own correspondences, based off of what I felt like and remembering bits of spells I’d thought about. They are 100% my own, taken from no one.
Please give me credit if you use it anywhere else :)
I also know I haven’t included every bone out there, if I missed one msg me, I’ll give it some thought and see what happens! :D
▪Teeth- communication, learning other language, news, defense
▪Skull- thoughts, divination, communication, spirit work, astral
▪Spine- support, confidence, level headed
▪Arm- help, blocking (curses, hexes, psychic attacks, etc)
▪Wrist- flexibility, hard work
▪Hand- art, artistic ability, creativity, energy
▪Fingers- fluidity, progress, endurance
▪Nails/ claws- fighting, protection, finding things out, knowledge, struggle, balance
▪Rib- agility, protection
▪Hip- ebdurance, keeping it together
▪leg- endurance, travel, strength
▪Ankle- movement, moving on, catalyst
▪Foot- endurance, moving on, leaving things behind, hard work, independence, luck
▪Toe- balance, help, prosperity, money, changing luck (for the better or worse)
▪Tail- (like actual bones in the animals tail, not the tailbone) agility, secrecy, alarm, cursing
(Edited to include:)
▪Antlers- strength, endurance, masculine energy, Cernunnos, protection, more centered toward nature and earth, deflecting curses, and hope.
▪Horns- wealth, the home, determination, aggressive protection, more centered toward that which is man made, and cursing
▪Wings- adventure, deviating from the norm, sending/ receiving messages, travel, starting a new adventure/ path, hope, luck, wishes, comfort (let it be amplifying or taking away) The type of bird would also affect the correspondences; the wing bones, to me, would increase the things the bird stands for
witchcraft | DEATH WITCHES
death witches use the powers of divination and mortality in their magic. they often work with graveyard dirt, bones, ouija boards, and candles.
Collecting Bones: Owl Pellets
So i know a lot of people who don't know about Owl Pellets
Owls can't digest bones, fur, and nails from rodents and birds so they regurgitate a ball of it all and when disassembled correctly you're can get some really good bones and skulls.
When you search up Owl Pellets you can find a lot of labs that sell them usually for educational purposes. So for you little vultures, witches, and goblins, go buy owl pellets to get some small bones and skulls for you hoards and spells.
Different owls have different diets and you can get different animal skulls depending on what you want, just know which species of owl eats what.
✨Go get those bones you lovely creatures✨

Essence of Death
This is a “potion” of sorts to help you reconcile your fear of death, or to grow meditatively within it. It doesn’t require much supplies, and is mainly geared towards the intent and energy produced by you. This is a ritual you can potentially do everyday, whenever you wish to do a death-related ritual, or whenever you are struggling with anxiety about death.
What You’ll Need:
One glass of water
A dark place to sit
A pinch of salt
A pinch of dirt
A small envelope or sachet
First, gather your supplies in a dark area. This could be a closet, a room, etc. Place the salt and dirt into your sachet or envelope, and as you do, visualize your fear of death being buried, nullified, and unfertilized. When salt invades the dirt, many plants cannot grow there any longer. Similarly, this is where your fear of death rests, and by adding the salt, you are protecting yourself and destroying the potential for it to overrun your life any further.
Use this chant to close the casket on this fear:
I deny you the right the thrive in my mind,
I am growing past fear and lifting the blinds.
Death is unavoidable, it is real, and it stings.
I refuse to waste time contemplating what it brings.
My phobias shrink as time makes them decay,
My weakness of you ends, it ends today.
Seal the envelope/tie the sachet closed, and place it next to your glass of water. Focus on the energy of death flavouring your drink, giving you a small taste of what death truly is: natural, inescapable, and comforting in a strange way. Do not focus on bringing death into your life. Focus on being able to see it and accept it as it appears throughout your life.

Death and Rebirth is a natural part of existence.
We die and are reforged regularly. We must accept this aspect of life, our we’ll never appreciate who we’ve become.
Things to do for Samhain
🍁For the Wistful
take a walk, once in the rain, once in the Sun to celebrate Autumn’s duality
collect the falling leaves and make a bouquet to hang on your wall
spare a thought for your ancestors, those whose legacy now belongs to you
research your family tree
visit your ancestors’ graves and adorn them with white chrysanthemum for protection
drink hot cocoa/coffee mixed with cinnamon, pumpkin spice or nutmeg
bake a pumpkin pie or try your hand at any pumpkin-related recipes (they’re all great tbh)
dress in autumnal colours: yellow, orange, red, brown
check your wards and protections around the house
give offerings to the spirits who have breached the veil
🎃 For the Wicked
have yourself a grand feast (leave a meal for the spirits though!)
marathon a horror movie anthology. or multiple.
gather your friends and have a bonfire night (bonus points if fireworks are included)
go to a halloween-themed party and dance the night away
dress up as a witch and let people believe that it’s just a costume
drink spiced apple cider or red wine. get drunk enough to casually chat with the spirits. celebrate outrageously.
trick or treat
