Lady Dís blinked out of her trance at the scream, having taken to wandering the halls of Erebor like a phantom when news of her last brother’s death reached her in the Blue Mountains. The dwarrowdam followed the sounds of distress to the room her brother’s sword resided in. Deathless was the last piece of Thorin she had, aside from Orcrist. It was like her feet had a mind of their own, and before she knew it she’d entered Deathless’ room. 

Dark eyes took in the situation and the pup recognized the motherly energy that Dís radiated, soon backing away from his mistress so Dís could sit on the bed beside her. The dwarrowdam’s arms soon wrapped around the small female and held her close-just as she did for her boys when they were young and had nightmares-her hand gently stroking the other’s lighter locks. “I miss him too…”

As Dis’s arms cloaked around the weapon, Deathless could feel that her whole body was shaking -- was if from her nightmare showing her Thorin’s death or from the grim reminder that he was no longer at her side. “I-I’m so sorry for waking you, Lady Dis,” she cried, trying to calm herself down. Being mortal was a wonder but she had never been ready for the different emotions she would feel especially the one that now would not leave her alone.

The light haired dwarrowdam wrapped her arms around the mother, holding tightly as if she too would be taken away. Since Dis had come to Erebor following the death of Thorin she had been like a mother to both her and Fili’s mortal twin swords. It was comforting to have someone so close to her passed master around the kingdom. “The nightmares won’t stop. Every -- every night it’s the same thing.”

“Well -- I guess it’s not too bad of an idea though we’ve never actually been in the same building at the same time. Our managers will have to schedule us at the same events before we go official or it would obviously be a publicity thing.”
